Now that Geale has had more exposure locally since the Sturm fight I dont think Soliman is a good choice as although it is a likely win it would not be pretty and thus any casual observers may go away thinking well that was crap. I reckon Mundine then bigger fish in the new year. All really comes down what nonsense the alphabet boys come up with and what Geales priorities are. Dont think he quite has the bargaining power to dictate and sadly the alphabet tools may take a title regardless of the decision he makes.

True. Soliman has earned the right but its jst not a big fight most likely a UD for Geale in a ugly fashion. Mundine would be a massive fight and real boxing fans know he aint earned it but the casual fans dnt and there the ones who buy ppv and tickets to big shows. A fight in Vegas vs Golovkin and win for Geale would open up the us market risky fight thou., or maybe someone like Jermaine Taylor would be a better way to do it

I like Sam Soliman, but does anyone really think he deserves to be IBF mandatory, really? He hasn't really beaten anyone of note. I would like to see Geale v Soliman because I think it would be an interesting fight. But financially it might be a flop.
Now, I don't particulary like Anthony Mundine, BUT, with the momentum Geale has now this fight would do big bucks for him. It would be gobbled up by the stupid part time fans who still think Mundine is good.
In all honesty it's probably more reward/less risk at this stage as well. I think Soliman is currently better than Mundine, who is in serious decline.
So, in my opinion, Geale should fight Mundine next, around November or December, wipe the floor with him, get a career high (probs) payday. Then look at someone like Chavez, Martinez, Golovkin, Pirog or J. Taylor after that

I cant see Golovkin coming to Australia to fight Geale anytime soon. Getting more money and exposure in the USA, I see Golovkin dropping his WBA title and fighting on HBO defending his IBO belt. Honestly has anyone heard Golovkin or his management talk about fighting Geale in Australia :?? after Geale beat Sturm?.

Geale should fight Sam Soliman next then try fighting the Chavez Jr vs Martinez winner.

Make hay whilst the sun shines....try and negotiate a fight with the winner of Chavez Jnr and Martinez, even if it means having a keep busy fight between.

Mundine revenge
Soliman
Murray (probable mandatory)
Barker
Macklin

In that order. All good paydays and 3 of them would fight in Australia. Then Golovkin, Chavez Jr to define Geale's career. Think about the money, get some home fights and keep improving.

Golovkin was very keen to fight Mundine in Australia a while back. Wasn't he the one that said Mundine could use his own family for judges because they wouldn't be required anyway? But the USA beckons for him now provided he can find guys prepared to fight him.

He has to fight Golovkin this year, although Golovkin may not want to challenge for the main WBA belt that soon.

I think he should really push for the Martinez vs JCCjr winner that is the best fight to go for hardest fight but most prestige and the REAL world championship

With all the attention the WBC fight this weekend has achieved, the intense rivalry and the exposure thinking now Geale should just go straight to contesting all the belts..... BUT the sanctioning bodies will no doubt put there regular/super/diamond spin on it to the point where is it actually possible to be a "unified"champ anymore. So I hope its Martinez (assuming he gets through chavez).... regardless ,the winner of this weekends fight.

So it seems the ball is in Golovkins court... To avoid a ugly low paying fight with Soliman , Golovkin would have to knock back a fight with Geale.(probable) so then Geale can defend WBA against his choice of fighter, which would open the door for Mundine rematch or WBC title fight or another US fight so GGG whats it gona be?

I really really hope that he doesn't gift Mundine a shot at the title. Mundine should fight his way into a mandatory challenger position.
He simply doesn't deserve a shot at Geale's belts.

I really wanted Alcine for Geale, Alcine is a lemon, an easy mark and a fantastic introduction to the US public, however Macklin got there first.

Maravilla is 1 of the best fighters ín the world atm, and 1 of the best middles i've had the chance to see, his career has been a pleasure to watch since Cintron.

I hope Geale takes a couple more fights first, why not have a Geale v Soliman( Only because Soliman is a champion and deserves his last shot) and Mundine vs Murray in an elimanator on the same card in Tasmania. Both fighters are ranked by the IBF.

Tszyu set the example. When you have two belts you go after the other.

Why should Geale fight Martinez's left overs rather than go after the main man?

If you can't beat everybody in your weight class you are not a world champion.

It seems Geale is still being under rated, And suggesting he take easy fights and left-overs don't make any sense. He got where he is today from fighting champions not chimpanzees unlike someone we know. Ive never really followed Geale but after the Sturm win I,ve taken notice.
A fight with GGG down-under then/or Soliman makes sence (or Cents?) - But fighting Martinez makes dollars $$$.
Why take a step backwards if you are moving forward.
Mundine Vs Macklin is a massive laugh, As if Choc would take that fight.
