Ahmed Elomar was arrested over the weekend for affray as a result of Saturday's riots in Sydney regarding a video criticizing Muslims.

Elomar has been refused bail and will appear before the court tomorrow. Ten of his supporters were evicted from the court for threatening behaviour.

Elomar, 29, is accused of throwing a glass bottle at a police officer and a magistrate refused bail, citing his "seven-page criminal history".

Looks like our Ahmed has been a busy lad with that rap sheet. Elomar's most infamous night in the ring was the aftermath of his bout against Willie Kickett on 7th November 2008, at Central Coast Leagues Club, when his supporters went beserk after the round 1 stoppage of Kickett. An all in brawl ensued, with chairs thrown and all of the infamy was telecast live on Fox Sports. That night, the Elomars gave boxing a real low blow!

Elomar had his bail refused today to cool his heels in the "big house" despite his solicitor gilding the lily at the hearing, and the matter was adjourned until 2nd October 2012.

Im no fan of the Elomar boys where ever they go the boxing ring or a peacefull street march there seems to be a riot. There reglios leaders should have a dam good look at there behaiver. I as a father of six children have always taken a keen intrest in what my children are doing and allways TRYED to keep them on the straight and narrow. The long arm of the law has reached out and given Elomar a further touch up!

Elomar will now have the charges against him upgraded after video footage surfaced of him allegedly hitting a police officer with a flag pole. Originally charged with affray following the protest last Saturday in which Islamic demonstrators clashed with police, police today (21 September) said that Elomar would now face more serious charges for the alleged assault after officers received footage of the incident.

Some dickhead in the USA made a short video called "Innocence of the Muslims." From what I have heard and read it was a badly cobbled together piece of rubbish where film of known actors was used and dubbed over. I have not seen it, nor have any of the demonstrators, but they believed it insulted their religion.

These idiots were so poorly organised they demonstrated outside the US Consulate in Sydney, which is only staffed from Monday to Friday, on a Saturday, so there was nobody there to see or hear them. Not very bright.
