Welliver will do much better out of fighting a Jap in Japan than fighting someone nobody knows in China

Fujimoto and SBW are undefeated. Both want to try and be somebody. Both men are able to generate some big cash to try and do it. Both will FAIL though.

Chauncy will brow beat Fujimoto down in Tokyo....even at 8 rds. He should be forced to fight 10 or more if he seeks a WBC ranking with a win.

After that SBW can try to REALLLLLLLLLLLY be the New Zealand HW Champ and get his brow beating.

On paper you would naturally think that Brute, but Fujimoto is a good rugged fighter from another code, so he knows his way around the ring and while Chauncy is clear favorite to win, this bloke will test him, and also the fight is in Japan in his own backyard.

So it's no easy assignment, I know that Fujimoto's team are trying to collect a good scalp for him and get him into the ratings asap, time is also against him, and after the Williams loss, perhaps they see a guy losing to a 39 year old as easy prey, which is not the case with Welliver, cos if he survives the first 3-4 rounds, he should come home with a win.

I was suprised to hear Fujimoto was going to fight Chauncy I felt it was a larger step than he needed to take just now he doesn't need To be rushed he's young but at same time an experienced kick fighter so doesn't need to be fighting pushovers either! I doubt he hurts Chauncy enough to stop him so will likely be decided via the judges who if it's close enough will side with the hometown hero

Joey Wilson would be the natural fight (in the southern hemisphere) although it would be a stinker to watch. He'd probably need another couple of shut out losses for de Mori to be interested, I think Leapii would stop Welliver. So in all probabililty if it's over this side of the world it'll be someone like Junior Pati. I hope he doesn't give it away though, he's still young enough in Heavyweight terms but he's really lost his way lately and definatly needs a big win soon.

Junior Burger's record is pathetic. At 30 you would expect him to have a much better record if he was going anywhere. If Welliver is considering fighting Joey Wilson he might as well retire. Neither of these opponents would be a step forward.

It's boxing, that big win could be round the corner. Surprised to hear you say your thinking of calling it a day, guess it's natural to have a long hard look at yourself after a couple of defeats but you've others to consider - you'd be breaking Kronkpride's heart.

I'd be good with anything Chauncy wanted to do. The ride has been awesome no matter what. And it is not like Chauncy wouldn;t still be in boxing. He's a lifer. He will manage, promote, commentate, or anything else he wants to do in the game after he is done. Very few people have the worldly contacts Welliver has in boxing. He's made the rounds to virtually everywhere.

I would like to see him fight on though. SBW would be a nice fight to see who is really NZ HW Champion. A win in his native Spokane would also be good to get beforehand. Tuaman ever getting some balls would be another I want to see.

A bout against Dunny Bill is really not an option, although Dunny is still learning the ropes, he is very fit and hits hard. And Dunny comes with a big asking price! Actually Dunny versus Fujimoto would be a better fit, but neither's managers would want it to happen.

Always thought a SBW fight in Japan would be Huge, even before he signed to play there. Perhaps him against Masataka Takehara would be a decent scrap for his first bout in Japan. Takehara whilst not having the prettiest looking record at 7-7-2 is still a solid opponent for Sonny right now, hes held Leapai and Cronje to Draws and being a local helps.

I cant see Fujimoto Vs SBW happening anytime soon while it would be massive in Japan.
