Chavez Jr Vs Macklin
Sergio looks like he's going to be out of the ring for a good few months after his win over Jr so an immediate re-match is out of the question, so how about Jr Vs Macklin in the interim?
Macklin had a good win on Saturday, took several rounds off Sergio and was robbed against Sturm. This is a fight that makes a lot of sense. And given their respective performances against Sergio and recent form, I really fancy Macklin's chances of the win.
As for the title, who'd be surprised to see Don Jose strip Sergio of his title, making him champion in recess so that Jr gets another shot?

Chavez won't box for a bit either, since he got bashed up. Martinez-Chavez rematch will be March-April, Macklin will fight Geale

Wouldn't be a huge surprise if that did happen.Newport Daz wrote:Sergio looks like he's going to be out of the ring for a good few months after his win over Jr so an immediate re-match is out of the question, so how about Jr Vs Macklin in the interim?

Re: Chavez Jr Vs Macklin
why should martinez give chavez a rematch he convincingly beat him every round till the 12th and chavez caught him but he still got to the final bell,its like saying mosley should get a rematch for stunning mayweather in the 2nd round,its a joke chavez didnt do anything to warrant martinez giving him a payday imo
Re: Chavez Jr Vs Macklin
If Chavez Jr was that good he would have finished Martinez in the 12th, he got outclassed for 11 rounds and couldn't finish it, why does he deserve rematch|? He can continue jumping in swimming pools in his pink pants while his dad and associates study tapes of his next match up,
In the meantime, Macklin-Geale is a true match up which fight fans would look forward to

You've answered your own question pal.
Macklin = big risk.
No chance.

I think if they don't get the Martinez rematch we'll see XXXL trying his luck up at SMW. He'd outbully Macklin

Chavez will go back to being coccooned for a while against small risk opponents - and maybe an enforced rest due to his smoking habit.

Macklin is a little worn & the drug cheat would soak up his best & smash him to his knees like David banner in 8-9rdsFinal round wrote:I think if they don't get the Martinez rematch we'll see XXXL trying his luck up at SMW. He'd outbully Macklin
