He's scared that the decision might go against him, quote.

"While the Mancunian was outclassed, Calzaghe believes Reid got a raw deal from the judges and admits he fears a lopsided decision should he fight on Lacy's turf. "

"To be honest, looking at the judging with the Robin Reid fight I don't think I'd go to Florida, because that was disgusting the way Robin Reid got cheated," Calzaghe said.

So he's definately not going to fight Lacy, I cant see Lacy coming back over here after the postponment.

Calzaghe seemed to be referring more to the ref than the actual judges. I thought he came across pretty well in the interview last night.

The Ref was a disgrace, Lacy would have won anyway but in a tight fight a ref like that would tip the scales. I wouldnt want to fight 2men at the same time either

Reid even though getting hammered, showed balls by going into Lacy's backyard. It's something Calzaghe will never have, if Calzaghe is really No. 1 Super middle then shouldnt he turn round and say 'ok ill come over, it doesnt matter, im a true champion and will knock you out regardless of the venue' ?. Look for Hatton to fight in the US next year, look for Calzaghe to stay at home.

However I still doubt the Lacy fight will ever happen.

I'm not to sure it won't, even Calzaghe's biggest fans must know that he can't call himself No1 in the division without fighting Lacy.
Every interview he has the only thing he gets asked is when is the fight happening, so i feel even Joe will want to get this fight on.

Calzaghe seems to be honest in some interviews but dodgey decisions happen everwhere. Maybethe knockdowns and other things might of not have happened if the ref wasn't Lacy biased.

Perhaps they wanted to ensure Reid got stopped instead of it going to a Lacy decision, so they could intimidate Joe and take advantage of the fact that Joe has injuries everytime he gets offered a good fight and play off that since people distrust Joe now maybe so they could gain more fans?

it made no differnce in the long run but Reid was smacked on the break for the first KD.

I dont think anyone was saying that in the Zoo fight Ricky duid not have the best of the reffing decisions, this point is being brought up in refute of the fact that it doesnt just happen here.

If you listen to the yanks about hatton you would think that the MEN is the only place you get hometown reffing. Which is bullshit.

Lennox v Tyson another example of the crap reffing that can occur both stateside and here.

I actually didnt think Dave parris was that bad at the MEN, but then again i would say that, but most folk seem to forget Kostya was dishing out more than his fair share of low blows, shoulder charges etc AND by the way Cotto threw more low blows at the weeknd than ive seen in the whole of hattons career.

one in particular really hurt Torres and he got away with it.

Cotto was a very lucky man at the weekend and is beggining to get found out if you make him work outside his own pace.

Hatton and mayweather eat cotto alive based on his recent perfomances.

So much for his fantastic defence huh

J, I'm with you on Parris. I think he did a decent job in that he was reasonable to both sides in a hard bout to ref.

But yes, fans disagree with refs all over the world and the US is far from immune to horrible reffing. It'd just be nice if they realised that...

No, sorry, should've maybe been clearer.

Reid's got a good chin in general play but if you get a free shot on it then he's not going to be 'right' immediately afterwards and will therefore be more susceptible in the remainder of the fight.
