Good read and I'm gutted James couldn't bring the title to cov. Another attempt for a cov fighter with no reward.

Disappointed with the scoring though given the evidence you provided

Flannigan deservedly won and I think Shaun Messer's card was about right at 98-84. But the other cards did Troy a disservice. It was really in the balance after 8 rounds. Troy's biggest problem was that he lost the first four rounds and was always playing catch up. He came close to being stopped in the third but rallied superbly from rounds five to eight. The fitness levels showed by both boxers was tremendous. Flannigan just edged it on his silkier skills and held it together when he might have capsized when James really took it to him.

Flannagan v James sounded like a barnstormer. Where there any cameras at it or footage available somewhere?

I think the difference in size & the lack of a finishing punch by Troy made the difference. Terry was by far the tidier boxer.

Great fight, both lads did themselves proud. Like Ben said, Troy gave away the first 4 rounds so had alot to do from then, he gave it a great go but all credit to Flannigan he kept his cool under severe pressure. Score cards were a complete joke, shaun messer was closest to the right outcome, we had the score at 96-94 to Flannigan, Troy let it slip away rounds 9 and 10 by not working enough and allowing Terry to box at range and keep hold of his belt. Both lads are a credit to the sport in there fitness, attitude and sportsmanship. Terry moves on with all credit to him and hopefully we get another chance in a couple fights time at a big title has i think Troy showed his worth, wrong tatics to start slow and take a look at Flannigan it left Troy too much ground to make up, got to be up there for one of the fights of the year though for sure, fights like that are what our sports all about. #teamTroy

Just watched it back, great fight, both lads a credit to the sport. Still shocked at the scorecards but hey that's boxing judges for ya, we (team Troy) was at a birthday meal last night and was talking and we would love a rematch, I think the fans would love it too, maybe a bit of tv coverage for the wider public to watch aswell, they all love a good old fashioned tear up, gotta be worth the promoter giving it a thought :TU: :box: :D
