Was gonna post about Carl at some point. I went last night and was really dissapointed with the main event I expected it to be pretty competitive. Molitor was a shadow of the fighter he used to be. In the 1st round Carl cornered him way too easily and when Molitor was in a little trouble I could tell he didn't fancy it and went down way too easily thoughout the fight.

For me this fight didn't show me how good Carl really is. Still have no idea if he is better than Scott Quigg. Still think he should fight Martinez who will be up for a fight unlike Molitor was, as he can get in the World Title mix and is defending European Champ. Doubt the Quigg or Munroe fight will happen for a while.

Still want to see him face Kiko. They may be trying to move him too fast, talk of a world title at this stage is surely too early.

Got agree with you, molitor's heart wasnt in it at all. I wasn't that impressed with Molitor when he fought booth but I still thought he would cause frampton alot more trouble than he did last night.
I still see the frampton v quigg/Munroe fights very even matches

I tend to agree. Last night I expected so much more from Molitor who clearly didn't want to know from very early on.As is becoming common place, the opponent makes the right noises in the build up but fails to deliver in the ring. Framptons fans were chanting "easy" from the third round and it was just that, an easy nights work. In fairness to Carl he can only beat what's put in front of him and he did that rather convincingly last night .

Politics are likely to get in the way of an early fight with quigg Or Munroe So kiko seems the most likely next opponent .That should be a more genuine test than last nights poor show in the opposite corner.

I want him to fight Martinez next for the European title as well.

If Frampton beats Martinez then I think he should be looking to defend against Casey, Galahad, Munroe & Quigg. I don't see any reason to rush him up to world level.

The ring seemed really small aswel, molitor had nowhere to go

I'd take the Martinez fight and then Galahad, can't see big Mick wanting the latter, though. Rafael Marquez is there for the taking, good name and good ranking. There is no rush and Frampton doesn't need to chase the likes of Quigg and Munroe to make his name, he's light years ahead. Casey would make a good safe defence once Frampton's beat Martinez.

I genuinely think that Frampton is the greatest prospect we have or have had for many, many years. I'm struggling to think of a better prospect.

Must be the highest quality division in terms of champions

Donaire, Mares, Nishioka, Rigondeaux.

Frampton against any of these.... Computer says no !

Yes, just read gasman's piece on BoxRec News which reminded me of this fact...that's an incredibly tough division. I think he'd be too much for Quigg but Frampton against Munroe would be very interesting.

would like to see him fight either monroe or quigg, then we can find out how's the number one fighter in the UK before he goes off to fight for a world title.
