RIP Gary McCrystal

It is with great sadness that I inform the readers of this forum of the passing of Gary McCrystal on the 31st August. Gary was the Founder and President of the New Zealand National Boxing Federation and a Life Member, former President and long standing committee member of the Auckland Boxing Association.

RIP Gary. He certainly didn't give up 'til final bell. Condolences to his close mates & family

Very sad news. I am a champion of his orgainization, and also a friend. Gary was a good fella who always tried to do good by the boxers. RIP Gary

Thanks for the call last week mate, it's always good to chat with you

While Gary's Passing is truly a sad loss for the NZ NBF and NZ Boxing, I know he always did his best for the sport in Kiwi, even though we never always agreed on everything,

However, i am sure the legacy he left, which is the NZ National Boxing Federation, will live on, through yourself, Steve and a couple of other dedicated people.

I wish, both you and Steve Miles all the very best for the future, and look forward to working with you again soon.

Condolences to Gary's family, may he Rest in Peace.

sincere condolences to gary's family. May he rest in peace.i don't visit the forum very much these days, but met and corresponded with Gary on many occasions during my term as ANBF National Secretary.Also worked with reg when we were both officiating in the amateur ranks in Queensland.best wishes Reg and I am saddened by the news of Gary's passing.
