Javier Solis Amateur Career

Javier Solis is a Mexican legend. He's a singer who, I learned a few years ago had an amateur career as a boxer. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with his amateur boxing career. His real name was Gabriel Siria Levario. From what i've read he fought Raul Macias and Jose Medel. That means he must have been an amateur sometime in the late 40's or early 50's. I don't know what weight he fought at but i've wondered if he was any good as an amateur. He's one of my idols in terms of music, but I don't know how good he was as a boxer. I've always been curious and I figured it wouldn't hurt if I posted here. There are very knowledgeable people here. Maybe someone can help me out a little. Unfortunately, amateur boxing in Mexico doesn't appear to be recorded as well as it is in the U.S. However, since Javier Solis is a very famous singer, i'm guessing there might be some information on him as an amateur boxer. Any help would be appreciated.
