Re: entrance tune
Loved it when Froch came out to 'Welcome to the Jungle' for the Pascal fight. He also had the Kanye tune that samples 'Move On Up' (think it's 'Touch the Sky') when he fought Magee at the York Hall - both times it was going off.
However, probably the best I've experienced in the flesh remains when Naz came out to 'Here Comes the Hotstepper'... awesome

ACDC/Thunder suited Gatti well.
Re: entrance tune
I put that version of we will rock you, that turns into welcome to the jungle together. I burnt it to disc and drove it down to the arena that afternoon and he's come out a few times since to it.Deserter wrote:Loved it when Froch came out to 'Welcome to the Jungle' for the Pascal fight. I was quite pleased with myself in a way, providing a mix off my laptop software to a WBC / FOTY headliner.
Re: entrance tune
Loved jamie moores which i believe was one of "his mates" tunes - perhaps moorsey can elaborate

Drove the three hours up to Nottingham by myself for that fight as couldn't get any mates to go but was determined not to miss it, and so glad I made the effort as it was an amazing night, with one of the highlights being your mix Gomez

Marvin Hagler, 'War' (although if I were nitpicking, as an anti-war song it contradicts what he was about but what the hell, it was still fecking marvelous!)
Most inappropriate I've ever seen was Tyson Fury to Ce Ce Peniston's 'Finally' when he sang along to, 'Meeting Mr Right, the man of my dreams...'

I've always thought 'For Whom The Bell Tolls' & 'Enter Sandman' by Metallica would be awesome
Re: entrance tune
Amen to that. Need a booming loud PA system in the arena for them to work properly though - Im not into metal, but i own both of those tracks.Matt W wrote:I've always thought 'For Whom The Bell Tolls' & 'Enter Sandman' by Metallica would be awesome
Re: entrance tune
Nah, it was like a really bassy start thundery bassline. Remember asking him when i did his web site where the tune was from and im pretty sure he said it was a friend of his' band / producer... I reckon Welcome To The Jungle is one of the greatest intros to a song ever, Carl Froch is one of my favourite fighters, sir I salute youG0mez wrote:Amen to that. Ironically another booming, ball-breaking intro is Placebo's 'Nancy Boy' but I can't imagine many fighters choosing that as their theme somehow....

I would love to see somebody come out to this, just for the chorus (50 secs).
Nine Inch Nails, 'Closer'.
