Quigg's last fight against Munroe ended in a 3rd round technical draw, so I didn't move him up any places after that fight. His last fight before that was in February against Arthur and he got knocked down and didn't look great.

Quigg's record isn't good enough for him to stay in the rankings if he is inactive for too long, or if he has fights which I don't think earn him a move up the rankings.

I think McDonnell and Rees have fairly similar records over the last few years. Rees has had a better 2012 than McDonnell though, so he is catching up. McDonnell is fighting Malinga in an IBF final eliminator this month, if he loses that then he will fall below Rees.

Galahad is not too far off a place in the rankings. He needs another good win or two to enter the list.

I took him out so Matthew Hatton could keep his place.

Rhodes would have fallen out in the next few months anyway, so there wasn't any point keeping him in after he retired.

First of all, Chisora hasn't beaten anybody apart from 1 bum, for over two years. Price is the British champion and has destroyed 6 opponents in that time.

Secondly, Kell Brook has beaten Hatton, Jones, Ndou, a couple of top 30 fighters as well. Apart from Zudov, who has Afolabi beaten that warrants this ranking?

Thirdly, Scott Quigg is British champion and has won a WBA title eliminator, drew against a World title contender and is having a rematch in another world title eliminator.

Fourthly, Rees = Former world champion, EBU champion (defended 3 times) and won Prizefighter. McDonnell is good, but has not achieved half of what Rees has.

You seem to rank fighters better if they lose fights as well.

I'm a bit surprised at your response re Rhodes.
There were other fighters who lingered on your list for month after month who had announced their retirement.
Also to say he's out to preserve another fighter's place is well - pathetic.

Yeah, not sure quite what Matthew has done so special to cling on to the 30th position. He's won about 10 of his last 36 rounds.

In the last 12 months Buckland has beaten Truscott and Anyanwu, whilst Mathews has beaten Crolla. Mathews win against Crolla is a better win than Truscott and Anyanwu added together. That is the main reason why Mathews is currently above Buckland in the rankings.

Buckland did beat Mathews in Prizefighter two years ago and had a good win against Sykes last year, so I am not against Buckland being above Mathews. If Mathews loses a Prizefighter fight on Saturday then he will probably fall below Buckland in next month's rankings.

Chisora beat Helenius according to most people's scorecards, so if we count that as a win then he has a victory that is much better than any win that Price has. Chisora has stepped up to world class level and done well, Price hasn't fought above domestic level yet.
Bronxbull666 wrote:Secondly, Kell Brook has beaten Hatton, Jones, Ndou, a couple of top 30 fighters as well. Apart from Zudov, who has Afolabi beaten that warrants this ranking?
Afolabi drew with Huck a few months ago, which is a very good result. Afolabi also has a win against Maccarinelli a few years ago which is better than any single win that Brook has.
Bronxbull666 wrote:Thirdly, Scott Quigg is British champion and has won a WBA title eliminator, drew against a World title contender and is having a rematch in another world title eliminator.
It is an interim world title fight, not just an eliminator. Quigg's record is good, but it isn't much better than a lot of fighters at the bottom of the rankings and he has not won a fight since February, so he has fallen out of the rankings. Quigg will re-enter if he beats Munroe in November.
Bronxbull666 wrote:Fourthly, Rees = Former world champion, EBU champion (defended 3 times) and won Prizefighter. McDonnell is good, but has not achieved half of what Rees has.
Rees lost his world championship over 4.5 years ago. Rees has achieved more overall than McDonnell, but I think McDonnell just edges things based on recent fights.

Rhodes retired, so I took him out of the rankings.

Rhodes would have fallen out within a few months anyway, so when Frampton entered the rankings I decided that Rhodes should fall out instead of Matthew Hatton. I don't think that is pathetic.

Burns is not the second best fighter in the UK yet. Haye is still above him.

Gavin Rees could be a bit higher since he has been winning impressively. I would have him above Mc Donnell with Mc Donnell directly below him.

Fury is definitely too high. His record is too bad for a position that high. Bellew beating Miranda alone last fight deserves to be ahead of Fury.

Groves is a bit too high. I think he should be put down one or two places and be ahead of Frampton.

No real complaints about 20-30. There positioned pretty well and fair. Haskins is positioned right.

In Rhodes' last three fights he has probably only won about 10 rounds as well and he has been stopped twice.

I thought Matthew Hatton deserved to keep his place more than Rhodes who had retired and been on poor form.
