Jack Palance
Under the name Jack Brazzo, Palance was apparently a heavyweight contender in the 40's. He lost a fight to Joe Baksi but that's the only fight on his record he apparently won around 14 fights anyone have any info on who he fought?

Re: Jack Palance
Palance was more than likely involved in 'cash fights' in the mining community that he belonged to growing up as a man. The famed author Louis La'Mour also claimed to have 59 fights as a pro, but there is no record of this; either it was all lies, or simply he was involved in unlicensed/unsanctioned bouts, much like the white collar circuit in London with guys like Lenny McLean, Roy Show, etc. Fact is it was also the time of athletic shows and travelling booth fighters, from town to town, $10 to anyone who could last three rounds, etc. THESE were probably the fights Palance had.

I have the White Plains newspaper write up of the Baksi battle.
It was a war and Joe was tough.
