It would be a big fight. It's almost as if Sky have started promoting it already. Might mark the return of PPV.

Stick a good undercard on there with say Bomber, Carl Frampton and/or a Prizefighter and it would be worth staying in and getting the beers and pizzas in for it.

Khan vs Brook would be a British scorcher, has all the elements in place, Kell can bang enough to surely test Khan's chin, Khan has the speed/skill to maybe make Kell look daft at times.

Khan came across as what he is - arrogant as hell. Constantly talking over Brook when Brook had been asked a question, really annoying, I think there would be a LOT of support for Mr Brook if the fight ever happened.

Would be a good fight but I was worried by Kell admitting that the tank was empty after halfway through the Carson Jones fight. Even if he had taken the odd weekend off, surely, at his age, the tank shouldn't be empty. Could just be an excuse but I've got a feeling Brook hasn't got the stamina needed for a hard 12 rounds. Hope I'm wrong. I still think he'll make it to a world title shot.

Have to agree with this. Khan came across as confident, not exactly arrogant.

Brook looked very nervous and was not able to impose himself on the situation.

Was a good watch I thought.

You could see Khan went in with the idea of being polite and humble the whole, I take full responsibility for the loss, Kells a "great" fighter etc. But I thought it unravelled a bit when he came out with yeah we sparred and I schooled him, then I thought he did deliberately drop in about playing second fiddle at the wild card and how it was a bit busy for him there etc....

Khan always comes across as pretty unintelligible. He said something to Brook like "If you beat Tim Bradley I'll fight the winner of Kell Brook and Tim Bradley"...

I think he gets a certain amount of grief due to his skin colour too. It's pathetic, yet always been there.

I like him and think he gets a raw deal at times but he does come out with some beauties at times which do himself no favours!

The 'fight Bradley and I fight the winner' chat was pure arrogance. The man just got starched by Garcia yet is declaring he is above virtually everyone and the likes of Bradley, who has a win over Pac, almost need to 'get in line'!

Well said Bigmark, I agree with everything you have wrote, Khan gets a hard time no matter what he does, sometimes he puts his foot in it ( he is young ) but a lot of times he is alright, but still gets slated, last night I thought he was very funny and entertaining, he spoke very well and made a lot of sense, we should be grateful we have to great young fighters like Khan and Brook representing this country, what a fight it will be in the near future between the two of them, can't wait.

How many boxers are out there that aren't white?? Its feeble to blame it on skin colour, kells got colour, is he disliked as khan is? Khan gets this treatment because he's a tosser.

utter shite to suggest khan gets it in the neck for his skin colour. anybody who discriminates against a boxer who is from a particular country or race is genuinely not a boxing fan , as we all know and love boxing as a sport where race is irrelevant. khan lost loads of fans cos hes been highly dismissive and critical of lots of respected boxers, and at the same time has made out that hes some kind of elite boxer.
it turns out that after all the fanfare , hes not that great. hes great at bullying old guys , small guys ,past it guys ....but at world level fighting people his own size and age , hes coming off worst. hes gone back to fighting a novice lightweight, and that says it all about the man. wheras khan would have you believe that bradley was shitting himself to fight him,and hes gonna clean up the 140 division. all total bollocks. bradley would fight pac man but was scared of khan??? why aint khan fighting mathysse, or peterson ,or any top five 140lb guy. he says he hasnt got much power at 140 but at 147 he kos everybody....so why is he not fighting at 147 and winning all the titles . he is full of shit and always has been. that is why nobody likes him.

It is because he is of Pakisani desent, Kel brook for me is no worse or better than Khan when he talks yet seems to be given a free pass yet has done next to nothing career wise compared to Khan.

I am sorry but there are fair bigger "tossers" out there that dont get the grief Khan gets and if you cant see that is due to his Pakisani desent then you are very naive.
Yes I am afraid you do seem a bit naive rob h, Khan as won world titles, he is a confident and positive lad, that's why he has been so sucessful, don't confuse confidence and positivity for arrogance, without it he would be half the fighter. Naseem had stick as well, a lot of people over here wanted Barrera to win, even though, when a british boxer fights a Mexican, in Mexico he gets booed and cussed and sometimes spit at, come on lets get behind our fighters, no matter what colour or creed .

The issue is Khan came across as if he was an elite fighter the same he was pre Peterson ' Wann fight Floyd blah blah blah'. Personally I felt he was very smug and arrogant towards Kell Brook and thought he would be a lot more humble following the beating he received from Danny Garcia. Used to stick up for Khan post Maidana and even after his last fight but not after yesterday.

If Khan fought Kell IMO its difficult to say now. When Khan steps back up after Molina will hbe be much better or will someone like Matthysse flatten him again or will Kell even win a world title ???

I think it would be naive to ignore the fact that there is still a fair bit of institutionalised racism in the UK and I know for a fact I've heard people in the pub etc, calling Khan a 'p**i' etc, which I just find totally unacceptable tbh.

However, I was also one of the people who was giving him all the benefit of the doubt and thought he was a nbice humble chap as that was how he used to act in the media spotlight. That's starting to all unravel over the last few years as a total act, he really does appear to be a very arrogant man indeed.

White, brown or black, I don't like that amount of self-loving arrogance, especially from a man who has now twice been totally, completely humbled in a boxing ring.

It's been said over and over, talking in the 3rd person whilst wanky, is about promotion. It's subliminal stuff and it works, we think 'cock' for saying it but the name sticks in your head.

They all do, BHOP, Lennox, Audley ( ) :OhYes:

I didn't see it but Khan is still young, a bit thick too so I'm sure he just couldn't help talking over Kell.

We should juts get behing him and once he's done, remind him that he was being a bit of a knob if he hasn't realised it himself by then :TU:

i like boxing and i like boxers according to their fighting style, their character, even their defects. im not gonny blindly support some guy i dont like just because hes british. and reading your previous post s i khnow for a fact you wouldnt get behind guys like alan minter or others who have made similar types of racist comment. kell brook is unbeaten and we will shortly see if he gets world titles, but he comes accross as ten times the human being that khan is. my money would be on brook to win the fight easily. i think even khan knows that too, which is why ,as 26 says, the fight will probably never happen....its more likely khan would fight rebecca brook.

Khan wouldn't even be a contender during the division's heyday of 2002-2005 of Hatton, Cotto, Tszyu, Mayweather.

The reality is, he would unlikely make it past Maussa, Viv Harris, Otkay Urkal, or a young Judah.

And they'd never in a million years put him in with huge punching Ricardo Torres (remember the cotto fight?) or even an old Vince Philips.

He was running from Peterson, sparked by Garcia and Prescott - none of whom would be titlists in the above period.

He is deluded, who genuinely thinks he's the goods. There is certainly some detachment from reality - especially telling Brook he'd 'knock him out' then elevating himself above Timothy Bradley, saying 'beat him and we'll fight'.

He's car crash entertainment, I'll concede that.

Summary:-

1. Mayweather talk
2. Crushed like a bug
3. Sack coach
4. Drawing board
5. Come back stronger
6. Fight small, hand picked opponents
7. Go back to step 1

It's happened 3 times now. Hunter will be sacked before he knows it.

I'm not a Khan hater (or lover) but I enjoy watching him fight for various different reasons. He came across a bit silly last night, especially in saying 'I'm not the type of person to disrespect other fighters' seconds before saying he schooled Brook in sparring.

Khan's biggest failing is he comes across and talks like a die hard fan. A die hard fan of himself.

We have to be fair and surmise that quite possibly Khan is nervous on camera and comes across the wrong way. Or he is a sensitive lad who knows he has had a lot of hate and putdowns on the forums and by some sections of british boxing crowds.

The fact is though he does come across as a very serious young man (somewhat like andy murray) and a bit of down to earth humour and humility wouldnt go amiss in interviews. But the fact is I know he is a very polite, well mannered and humble lad bought up very well. Thats just a fact based on my meetings with him and the rather more realistic portrayal on that reality show where he trained young men.

It was audley harrison and Haye who bought in all this "team this team that" and speaking in the 3rd person. Khan followed them in being an amateur star and aped the behaviour.

But i agree it is annoying Khan talking of himself being in the A league he isnt and never has been. He isnt a top 12 p4p guy and never has been in his career. Right now he is the lower echelons of b level at world class. The level beneath Mayweather, Pacman who are A. and a level below the upper B tier of Bradley,Martinez, Wladimir etc.

He needs to be humble about his career to himself cos thats the only person who matters when it comes to his inring career and realise after nearly 8 years as a pro he still fights in an amateurish style, wasting energy, rushing in. With his athletisicm and speed and reflexes, he should be a counter puncher and have a plan B. Learning off Ward how to have a economical pro style and not try and please the crowd to the detriment of your career is a perfect move. Roach did ok but he should have done more with a talent like khan, (if he was allowed) he had him trying to fight like pacman.

Hopefully finally finally Khan will learn how to maximise his power as well. he has lost a most of his rep he had very early on as having a decent dig. He has to regain that. The guy who floored judah and maidana with single body shots to my mind he should be learning off a mike mccallum, who could be bought in specially for that thing.

I have heard it at shows he has fought on. He can be a prick and is obviously not the sharpest tool in the box but neither are reason to call him a p*ki bastard, which I have heard at two shows ( both at the ExCel )

You can cite whatever reasons you like for your dislike of him, I don't really care to be honest! I know of people that like to see him lose because he is, in their words, a p*ki. As I mentioned above, I have heard it at two shows the man was fighting on.

For that reason I think a certain amount of grief he gets, is based on his skin colour and his ethnicity. It's not the reason behind all the grief he gets but assuming you read my initial post correctly you would already know that.
