Bradley out of todays fighters -not much fat on him!
Re: Best physique of all time on a fighter?
I like the build of fighters who look cut and athletic but not like Tim Bradley. Bradley should really be a weight category lighter than what he fights with. Did you see him next to Khan - Khan dwarfs him.
Fighters whose physique impress me are those with those long elongated muscles and look like athletes.
Sergio Martinez as a middleweight just looks so well trained.
Carl Froch.
Mikkel Kessler
Johnny Nelson also had a cracking build in his peak.

Many short fighters have made their size work for them. Bradley would handle Khan. Khan has been beaten more than once by smaller men, and will be again.stujones wrote:Bradley should really be a weight category lighter than what he fights with. Did you see him next to Khan - Khan dwarfs him.

Felix Savon was a great example of that type of physique Stu.
Norton was a specimen. The heavyweight division will provide the best I reckon. Their height gives them the edge.
Very gay though, this thread!

I watched Hugh Forde v Harrold Warren, and the American was built like the preverbal shit house . He was strong as an Ox, one of Hugh's best wins.

Cunningham has amazingly kept his physique adding weight and moving up to heavyweight, but it's not like he's put 30lbs on.

I also read in an article about him he goes vegetarian when in training which helps gets the weight off pretty easy and enjoys eating Tempeh which is Indonesian beans that you can press and shape into cakes/burgers etc and contain alot of protein etc.rhino222 wrote:some would call it dehydrated. he might not be packing muc fat but he is definately not packing much water either. not healthy.soulboy wrote:He's competing bodybuilder standard , shredded to the bone.Terminator666 wrote:

Re: Best physique of all time on a fighter?
A great boxing body for me is a natural one carved through boxing exercise and very little weights, I would say naz, Lennox Lewis and Ali where pretty good, Oscar de la Hoya was very good too, ripped bodies that were good fighters were eubank and mayweather, muscular bodies were Roy jones jnr and Holyfield ! But in general the more muscle the less talent IMO !

Froch is always in great shape!
Re: Best physique of all time on a fighter?
I'd say currently Froch's physique always impresses me. Everyone talks of his chin but his body looks like it's made of steel. He's a perfect example of someone who is supremely fit through exercise and training rather than lifting weights.
Some others, like Bradley, look impressive but it doesn't usually translate to a great boxer (although Bradley has both).
Ricky Hatton always looked good once he finally got rid of his fat for a fight.

Re: Best physique of all time on a fighter?
I can never understand how Ricky Hatton could get into such good shape. He does get "ripped", but after a fight, goes back to the beer & junk food. You'd think he'd be proud of his body, and try to keep in some kind of decent condition.

On the subject of Tyson Furys physique he posted a recent pic of himself on twitter which is now his profile pic.

I have no idea how to do photos on here, but recently I think Rendell Munroe looked almost freakish at the Quigg weigh in.
