Maybe, maybe not. The average man in the street not done a great deal of harm to anyone though; we may have had greedy and brutal rulers and systems. yes slavery happened in africa and on the arab peninsula, as well as the rest of the world, in britain the slaved their own people, prisoners and lower class were forced row on the ships traveling the globe, lower class were used as servants and their children taken for slave labour and as chimney sweeps, on a mass scale nobody does it like the white race and England did more damage to the world then any other nation. two wrongs don't make a right, neither does large scale and smaller scale match.
Me too.

Mark I know and can see where you are coming from. There is an element of Jeremy Kyle types who do take a dislike to people just because of their skin colour, or just a normal older generation that don't understand the dynamics now. I know what you mean. Some bloke in the pub throws the word Paki around, I am aware of it.
What I am saying is, myself and most others on here who dislike Khan; it ain't because of his skin colour. It's because of his attitude, and the things he comes out with, as well as his disrespect for other fighters. He has had years in the media spotlight to learn this lesson but he can't seem to do it, then continues to make people dislike him.
I do apologise for calling you a patronising get Mark (not Safeerah, he's obviously a twat who I will now ignore after reading his last posts on here, especially the nob one, thats just nursery shite and it even made me chuckle)
I can see your point, but I don't think that saying to the Boxing insiders on here "The reason you don't like Khan is because....." You know what I mean?
My day job automatically puts me in the bracket of one of the most hated against minority groups in the world. A percentage of people hate me and my colleagues without knowing us, but those people are wankers... who cares about their opinion.
Believe it or not (Safeerah) the majority of people I come into contact with me think I'm an alright guy, and show me respect because they see me for me and how I speak to and deal with them personally... not because of my job.
Now Khan has never tried to change people's beliefs of him, maybe he had in some interviews, but then he will do (run over pedestrians in 100k merc) or say something ("the uk is racist thats why I moved to the states") that gets peoples backs up.
In my opinion, that is why Khan is disliked... by the majority anyway. Have I explained myself better than my earlier post?

Sopranos = best thing on TV in the last 15 years.

I can't believe this has turned into a racism thread. Some people need to get a life and take that shit elsewhere. People, including me, dislike Khan because out of the ring he's a deluded gobshite. In the ring, he's great to watch and has unbelievable guts.
And in my opinion The Wire just edges The Sopranos, but both immense shows.

So because someone is racially abused and moves away, people should hate him, instead of investigating why one of our top sportsman is leaving our country, why do you think in football they spent so much money on the "ban racism in football " program, because it was a problem in football, but Idiots like you think racism should be ignored and not spoke about, why ? Maybe you live life through rose tinted glasses or you think you are superior, in your opinion people like you, are you sure ? What do we know about you ? You love the sopranos lol, I take it, you see being called a nob childish, yet call the person who said it a twat. I think you are a touch insecure, unintelligent and childish, so people hate you because of your Job, ethnic minorities ? What are you a clerical assistant in the EDL, grow up and get a life, because of what you have said about yours, maybe you need a new one.

Safeerah, can you clarify this statement. Firstly, what constitutes the 'white race' as I wasn't aware such a thing existed. Do you mean Europeans, Anglo-Saxons, Slavs, etc, etc?safeerah wrote: on a mass scale nobody does it like the white race.
Secondly, when you use present tense are you saying that it is still the case now and that the 'white race' is somehow inherently more capable/inclined towards repression and atrocities.
For what it's worth, I think all races regardless of colour or religion are capable of acting in an horrific manner. Look at the Japanese atrocities in China during World War II, the Tutsi and Hutu clashes in Rwanda, or the 'hidden' conflict in the Congo that has led to some observers terming it the third world war, as up to five million are believed to have died there over the past decade.
The scale argument is one inherently linked to technology - the superiority of the British Navy led to the Empire, for example, while America's 'first-mover advantage' of the Atom bomb led to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I don't believe it is inherently linked to race or religion.

Los,
I think we know the answer.
In this thread it was ok to describe me as a 40 year old shaven headed benefit cheating white van driving BNP member, and when I raised concerns, all that can be said is "oooh have we touched a nerve ?"
I then asked him civilly if the equivalent terminology was used by a white person against an Asian person what his reaction would be.
The clock's ticking .......
For the record I am a 55 year old, with a full head of hair, with a decent job paying my taxes, driving a BMW and (for my sins) a labour voter.
I think we know the answer.

terrible killings in Africa and the middle east, but the origin of it comes back here to britain, Europe, America and the our allies in the forms of occupation, stealing of resources, political interference, weapon sales, division, UN sanctions, corruption ext.. Saddam Hussain was created and put into power by the west and so are most dictators who have ordered mass murder, including the Syrian leader and his family, Mubarak, Edi Amin ext.. There is a source to every case. Money sent by charities to poor african countries are mostly used to pay Interest charges for their countries national debt to America, Britain and Europe, or is used to buy weapons from the west, to fight civil wars created by the west, why do you think so many still die of starvation. What I have described is just a small part of the big picture. When the UN countries imposed sanctions on Iraq, over a million children died from lack of medical treatment, mainly cancer/Lukemia caused by the after effects of blitz bombing and many died from unexploded cluster bombs used by the USA, Britain and it's allies, even though they are banned under international law.
Re: Khan on Ringside.
You see that is the difference between you and me, I see the big picture, were as you are looking at little trivial things, my mother is white and my father is Arab, my father fought in the second world war for this country in the British Navy, 2 of his ships were sunk in the war and he suffered bad injuries to his back and eyes, to which in later life he almost went blind, my uncles also fought for britain and one of them got a medal for bravery, they fought in a just war against a superior enemy, the Germans, who were the instigators of war, yes if my son wanted to marry a good white non muslim women, I would not stand in his way, as long as she was a good person, you need to read about true Islam before you ask questions like that, in Islam a muslim man is allowed to marry a christian women or a Jewish women and she can still keep her faith, after all they come from the same source, millions of muslims around the world today could well become muslims in the future, so how can you discriminate now.los2 wrote:safeerah playing the race card....then making sweeping statements about white people, Britain and USA....how tolerant are you?....would you let your son marry a white non-muslim?

Safeerah,
I'll add drama queen to the CV as well.
Not a problem.
Now I wonder how you would react if you were called similar things by someone you've never met before ? You know the stereo typical stuff.
Maybe we're book ends ........
Maybe we're not.
The Drama Queen comment was just a bit of light hearted fun, not meant as an insult, I do get stereo typical stuff aimed at me, to be honest, I just take it as ignorance or media conditioning, eg " Did you marry a muslim women because they are more sub-servant " or when playing with my young children and an old lady being complementary, whilst shocked that a muslim man spent time and played with his children and yes we are all guilty of Stereo typing to some extent, maybe we are all book ends.

But the pro crowds who are often very different to the amateur code ones, were they ever in love with him? or were the small section of 40 something meathead shaven headed white van driving or benefits fiddling demographic who get routinely pissed at fights and support the BNP ever going to be able to educate themselves above seeing him as a paki b##tard?

Re: Khan on Ringside.
Saf, thanks for your reply and in many respects I understand where you're coming from - my point is purely that when judged in the context of history, most races/cultures have perpetrated the same acts - it's a power thing rather than a race thing, at the risk of simplifying it. Look at Chinese repression in Tibet and if you accept the growth of China will see it supercede the American empire at some point this century you can expect it to be guilty of similar acts to the Americans at present.safeerah wrote:Ok Deserter, I understand your point, but going into full detail would take a long time, I agree there as been terrible killings in Africa and the middle east, but the origin of it comes back here to britain, Europe, America and the our allies in the forms of occupation, stealing of resources, political interference, weapon sales, division, UN sanctions, corruption ext..
I'll just leave you with one thought though - in his superb book, 'Blood River', about his journeys through the Congo, Tim Butcher is speaking to a NATO officer from Malaysia and is adopting a liberal stance in terms of attributing the bloodshed in the Congo to the role of the West. However, it's the Malaysian who rejects this, pointing out that his country emerged from similar circumstances in terms of occupation, a guerilla war/insurgency etc, yet has thrived and prospered because the people were willing to work hard and build a collective future. Butcher is forced to concede the point.
As well as the blame game, there has to be a degree of self-responsibility - a lot of the despots in Africa (Mugabe being a perfect example), were well-educated adults and seemingly started with good intentions, before being corrupted. They should be held to account for this, rather than it all being attributed to 'Western exploitation'.

cracks me up how these debates are always the same, this is basically an exact replica of 3 previous Khan threads. they start off all heated and insulting with every1 feeling slighted, then every1 types a million pages advocating tolerence and how u must not judge some1 over the internet, then the last few posts r ultra ultra polite and concise in the hope of finally making the point and proving we've risen above it all. hilarious.
Re: Khan on Ringside.
Good points Deserter, China is a big worry for the world, but also their presence limits America in their quest to control most parts of the world, I agree some responsibility for Africa's flight has to belong to easily lead people and corrupt politicians within Africa, but personally I would not trust Nato or the UN who are instruments of the west's domination, as an example the UN judge on International Law, yet stay silent when the US, Britain and it's Allies break international laws i.e Illegal wars on Iraq and Afghanistan, cluster bombs and when Israel break International law with Illegal land grabs, displacement of a race and Nuclear missiles, but the UN agree sanctions on Iraq despite the risk of death to Many and despite finding no proof of missiles in Iraq, allow Iraq to be attacked and ransacked of it's resources, they have also allowed the US and British Military Bases to be positioned all around the middle east, in fact surrounding Iran, can you imagine if China started place Bases around Britain or the USA, these is not acts of peace, but preparation for war. You are right people should be prepared to work at building their country, instead of fighting each other for scraps left by the west, but for that to happen, the west would have to leave them alone and stop inter- fearing with them politically and praying off the weakness of their leaders. Yes I forgot about Mugabe who started his reign loved by his people and with good intentions until he was corrupted by the west, the so called revolutions in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen ext.. where funded and planned by America, the leaders of the Revolution in Yemen for example where trained in revolution tactics in US before it all started.Deserter wrote:Saf, thanks for your reply and in many respects I understand where you're coming from - my point is purely that when judged in the context of history, most races/cultures have perpetrated the same acts - it's a power thing rather than a race thing, at the risk of simplifying it. You are right Deserter, nowadays it is more about power and greed then race, but then race was used as a reason for superiority, now the enemy is Islam because it does not comply with the demands of the new world order,s world domination plan to reduce world population by a third to have more world resources at their disposal and a division between rich and poor is increasing all the time, even in the west, we are just pawns in all of this. Peace be upon you all.
Re: Khan on Ringside.
Haven't seen you post much lately Saf, and then up you pop to turn another thread into a racism rant - who'd have thought it hey ?
I tried to have a sensible debate a while ago, but then I decided to take up a more constructive hobby and I am now trying to knit fog.
In reality, people of all colours. creeds, religion, shapes and sizes can be racist - the problem is that Saf doesn't see this which is surely ridiculous.
The problem is that Saf canot see any viewpoint other than his own. In fact, anybody who does disagree must surely be a racist (even asking the question makes the questioner a racist apparently).

Re: Khan on Ringside.
I haven't heard much from you , then up you pop with your stupid ignorant uneducated rubbish, I did not start this racism debate, just gave my point of view, which includes my view that racism is used in all nationalities, as I have indicated in other posts before, but the person envolved is Pakistani, Muslim and of brown skin, so it is unlikely that people of his own colour or creed would be racist towards him, is it not ? First time I have heard the "Knit fog" comment, thanks for the enlightenment. I don't think you are a racist, just a stupid fool who does not read comments in a debate clearly, a sad person who jumps to conclusions without any knowledge whatsoever, but you do jump on the bandwagon somewhat, maybe to feel wanted, if you don't like what I say, just ignore me, suits me, I can live with that, byebripez wrote:Haven't seen you post much lately Saf, and then up you pop to turn another thread into a racism rant - who'd have thought it hey ?
