Larry Holmes has kept a few bob, I believe. People used to tell me he owned half of Easton, Pennsylvania (his home town) at one point, don't know how true that still is...

Holmes is rich. Put it this way, you want to write to him you address it to Larry Holmes, Larry Holmes Drive, Larry Holmes Street, Easton PA. He also owns a prison and a courthouse. He boxed for money and was very shrewd.

But in fairness a tenner and a packet of pork scratchings can buy you most properties in Blackpool.Adam1991 wrote:Brian owns nearly every property on one of blackpools busiest street of restaurants and shopsBronxbull666 wrote:I read somewhere that Brian London became a successful businessman.

Re: millions
Andrew Golota has still got some money left
Re: millions
I guess a lot of the problems in the us lay with their tax laws. Poorly advised from contract details through filing tax returns has left many a fighter potless. Its a very cruel sport, noticably so when you see don king (and recently) de la hoya celebrating with the winner rather than the guy they walked in with. How many times has don king walked in with fighter A and out with the victorious fighter b.
As for being sensible with money. Dont forget a lot dont earn what you'd imagine. I remember judah and spinks unifying the welterweight titles and sharing a purse of 105,000 dollars. Take away tax and trainers / managers fees - not that much left, really

Re: millions
He was bankrupt. Which doesnt mean what it did. In the US its almost expected tobe bankrupt three or four times in business before makin a success. Both branson and cowell were bankrupt.
As a side i wish eubank would stop living his life again through his son, really winds me up. Called him afterbimself, Jumps into interviews, wLks behind him into ring woth same entrance musicplaying and jump over ropes etc...
