Re: Ben Edwards
I would like to see a fight between Big Benny and Mark DeMori before Mark goes back OS. I think it would be a good yard stick for both. ![[icon_notworthy.gif]](./images/smilies/icon_notworthy.gif)
Re: Ben Edwards
Tonight will be Mark's 21st fight, Ben has had 4.
I think Ben should have a few more fights before he challenges Mark.

Re: Ben Edwards
Yes Brute that true Ben with only 4 boxing fights but how many MMA fights has he had? But in saying that yes he should have more Boxing fights before he has a crack at DeMori. Me I just wish he would have more Boxing fights.
Re: Ben Edwards
Ben has had a heap of kick boxing bouts which are more important than MMA fights.colin russell wrote:Yes Brute that true Ben with only 4 boxing fights but how many MMA fights has he had? I agree with Brute though, id like to see Edwards have a few more "Boxing" fights before he challenges Mark.

Seen that. But what was the story with someone challenging the winner of Browne v Wilson?Brute wrote:Shane Tilyard is his next challenger.
Re: Ben Edwards
Edwards will win the Australian belt without having to fight Browne.
Re: Ben Edwards
My bet here is on a KO, Edwards knocks Tilyard cold, or the other way around, both boys hit very hard.

Re: Ben Edwards
Chances of it going the distance are about zero. I think it will be Tilyard who ends up horizontal.Hounddawg wrote:My bet here is on a KO, Edwards knocks Tilyard cold, or the other way around, both boys hit very hard.

Re: Ben Edwards
It looks like Ben has decided to stick to kickboxing. He has had a few kickboxing matches since his last fight.

Re: Ben Edwards
In the leadup to the title fight with Tilyard that never happened, Edwards was quoted as saying he was now going to give boxing a serious go. I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see him box again.Brute wrote:It looks like Ben has decided to stick to kickboxing. He has had a few kickboxing matches since his last fight.

He,s back Ben Edwards is now the Australian heavyweight champion with his win on points over Hunter Sam on the weekend. This could make for some interesting Australian title fights in the future.

Hope so. The man can bang.colin russell wrote:He,s back Ben Edwards is now the Australian heavyweight champion with his win on points over Hunter Sam on the weekend. This could make for some interesting Australian title fights in the future.
Re: Ben Edwards
no ko is a bit surprising over 10 rounds.
couldn't ko Kirby either.
kali put Kirby on queer street very easily.
ben can bang no doubt, but I'm not convinced his level is very high.
he's value for money though and will always have a punchers chance vs some handy heavies.
I still don't like seeing him coming into the ring looking like he hasn't trained properly.
