Re: AUDLEY HARRISON FUTURE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION?
Yeah ill give you that one but still theres 3 world title holders and only a handful of credible challengers - Fury, Ustinov, Price/Harrison, Haye, helenius, Boystov, mitchell.jameswilson wrote: Pulev for one is more credible even if Audley wins, in my opinion.

The Klitschko's and Povtkin will somehow manage to find other challengers tho won't they.kingfinn wrote:Yeah ill give you that one but still theres 3 world title holders and only a handful of credible challengers - Fury, Ustinov, Price/Harrison, Haye, helenius, Boystov, mitchell.jameswilson wrote: Pulev for one is more credible even if Audley wins, in my opinion.

kingfinn wrote:Audley said it himself the availability or lack there of opponents mean he would likely get a shot. Personally i think if he wins against price he would become the second most credible title challenger after Haye; who else is there? Fury if he beats chambers? thats about it. Seth mitchell hasnt fought anyone of note, stivern is looking like he would stand no chance....jameswilson wrote:I'll be suprised mate. Although in saying that I don't think there is a World heavyweight title defence that is too shit for the Klitschko's or Povetkin to make.kingfinn wrote:If he beats price he will get a title shot i think thats fair to say
Audley was beaten by a taxi driver 4 years ago. Now he's one win away from being a credible title challenger? I love Audley, but he's no longer even a credible challenger for the British title. Price is fighting him for the exposure.
Re: AUDLEY HARRISON FUTURE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION?
The klitschkos were interested in fighting price; if harrison beats him thats a gold medalist, previous wba title challenger who's beaten one of the hottest prospects in hw boxing, former WBF and EBU title holder along with the current british and commonwealth title holder. That to the klitschkos in the current climate would make him look like Cheryl Cole to a lifer at HMP Holloway. When you put together his acheivements he is fairly credible compared to the rest.Karl Jade wrote:![]()

Re: AUDLEY HARRISON FUTURE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION?
The Klitschkos wouldn't look twice at him. Vitali is through and Wladimir has plenty of the top 20 to get through.
Besides, being handpicked doesn't make him credible. He's not and will never be a credible opponent for anyone worth mentioning again after this fight. His underwhelming prime is gone and what's left isn't really worth talking about, much as I respect the man and will be partially hoping for a shock next weekend.

wlad is fighting wach whos ranked outside of the top 20 and vitali just fought charr i cant see where your coming from. People have heard of harrison even haye and chisora didnt know who charr was when he turned up to their presser.Karl Jade wrote:The Klitschkos wouldn't look twice at him. Re: AUDLEY HARRISON FUTURE HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION?
I think price will beat Harrison, but that's because audley is 40. I also believe Audley had all the tools it took to be world champion. He was a natural athlete and a south paw at a time when the heavyweight division was weak. He had moments when he fought like a true champion (beating Sprott one handed for example) however he psychologically didn't get everything right at the right time. So whilst he could look brutal against Danny Williams in their first fight after the knock down he didn't pull that trigger in the rest of the fight.
In some ways he was ruined by his Olympic medal as he was then allowed to call the shots and wasn't allowed to take meaningful fights he may lose.
