I've been saying this for about 6 years now, but I'd love to see Jennings box rings round Matty Hatton.

Re: Michael Jennings
Lost all respect i had for him when he spoke to my mrs like he was some big time charlie when he brought a female boxer down to me in july , i didnt witness it but my mrs told me what had been said and was supported by 2 doormen , between the 3 of them they had no ideas who he was other than him being a trainer , he was giving it the mouth and calling my mrs a spiteful bitch cos she wouldnt pay out until after the fight , pudendum .
Re: Michael Jennings
He needs to get a move on seems like he's been out longr than Hatton. Jennings is a talented fighter and would of done alot better had he packed more of a punch. Does Frank W still promote him

Well people would say that my mrs is quiet and shy and certainly not a liar , so i tend to believe her and not some big time charlie that wanted to make sure people noticed him.MachoMan09 wrote:During my fairly extensive experience of dealing with Michael he has always been polite and respectful, almost overly so sometimes, unless, of course, a situation is forced upon him and dictates otherwise.damianhucker1 wrote:Lost all respect i had for him when he spoke to my mrs like he was some big time charlie when he brought a female boxer down to me in july , i didnt witness it but my mrs told me what had been said and was supported by 2 doormen , between the 3 of them they had no ideas who he was other than him being a trainer , he was giving it the mouth and calling my mrs a spiteful bitch cos she wouldnt pay out until after the fight , pudendum .

As you would, Damian. I'm not going to fall out with you or get into an argument over this. You have a moral duty to stand-by your other half even when she's mistaken, I've got no quarrel with that.[/quote]

Re: Michael Jennings
Sorry, I don't understand how a tiff between Jennings and someone's other half gets onto a boxing forum?
I have no interest whatsoever what a boxer is like outside the ring, possibly other than them breaking the law of the land or doing something dangerous within the sport such as PED's or making no effrot to make an agreed weight.
I just don't understand why people bring stuff like this up, the title thread didn't even invite this kind of a comment. You'll find people who will laud or hammer every single boxer you will find on these Isles. I'd strongly advise that unless you've met someone yourself that you reserve opinion or at the very least keep it to yourself - I just don't see need.
For the avoidence of any doubt I am 100% in no way shape or form being in any way critical of the posters Missus. I'd be bang out of order to do so having never met her. Indeed I'd be bang out of order doing so even if I had met her. I just wish the same courtesy would be extended to others on here.

Michael s a great guy

Who the lurcher that's his nick name
Re: Michael Jennings
He was(is?) in a band, think they were called The Shoks.
Re: Michael Jennings
I agree, hearsay. I took a young boxer to spar with Michael Jennings a couple of years ago and found him a great guy, very humble and honest, I take people how they act with me, not from what someone else says and I seem to remember Damian Hucker slagging off my lad/boxer on here before, when never having met him before, he bragged about how he was going to become a pro promoter and showcase proper pro shows, by the way what happened to that ? He also said he had a few unlicensed boxers who where going to win big titles in the pros and that one of them would beat my lad, what happened to these guys did they turn pro ? Are they setting the world on fire ? By the way I was contacted by someone who knows these guys, he told me 2 of them are nothing special, not bad and that the one who Damian Hucker said would beat my lad is better then the other 2 but would never beat my lad, in fact he has trouble with movers, sometimes some serious bullshit goes on on these forums and a lot of self importance.fizzjambo wrote:Sorry, I don't understand how a tiff between Jennings and someone's other half gets onto a boxing forum?

And your right i havent gone pro yet , but then again i never said i would turn pro until next year at the earliest anyway .
and i didnt bad mouth your son , i said your rantings were beginning to make people want to see him get beaten .
Ill be honest , since i had said about how good one of them would be he since got beaten(on the very same show Jennings came to) , by a pro mind you , not an unlicensed boxer , so was set up a bit which was a little naughty as he used as fake name but anyway i wasnt too fussed as hes learning from those sorts of tougher fights , this lad has been boxing for just over 1 year , first fight was 22nd sept 2011 and has so far had 14 fights (13 wins 1 loss (11 kos), how long has your son been boxing ? since childhood ? like most boxers ,my original point was the amount of progress he had made in one year shows just how much potential he has , anything further was in the heat of the moment and against yourself not your son in reality .
its also worth noting theres only 3 or 4 posters on here who know the boxers i was mentioning previously and only 1 of those knew exactly that i was talking about those specific lads, and its correct one of them struggles with movers a bit , youve shown your true colours really though as why would people give you info if your just going to blatantly land them in hot water as you cant keep your mouth shut .
No doubt youll now attack me from any position you can but i dont care , not wasting my time worrying about what you think of me , ironic really again as you criticise someone for slating someone they have never met whilst doing the very same , very Hypocritical dont you think.
the point being i really dont care if People on here want to come on and say Jennings arse smells of flowers , im not bothered , i know hes a tosser that talks to people like they should automatically respect him , i dont know maybe it was the fact she didnt know who he was that bothered him .
Edit : just to clarify my current plans to saf as he seems to think he needs to know the lowdown , why else try to bait me so regularly , Ive been asked by a pro trainer to get my seconds license and join him at the gym as he is applying for his managers license , we can then turn a few lads over and go from there , its something that had previously been discussed but i had previously not wanted to give up the Unlicensed shows as they were funding my savings for my bond etc for the board , but if im honest im bored of the unlicensed circuit and need the challenge on going into the programme , if it doesnt work out i can always go back to the unlicensed circuit if need be .
Re: Michael Jennings
Let's be honest here you jumped on the bandwagon against my son to boost your popularity, shameful really and stupid as well, because in this business you don't know when you will need to work with someone, a bit shortsighted that, by the way Neil Perkins noticed the comments you made about him, good luck with that one. Who said it was a poster ? I know lot of people in boxing licensed an unlicensed, it's not hard to pick you out, not at all, so your man got beat by a pro on the unlicensed scene, believe me not a good pro, otherwise he would be in the pros, Nasser has sparred a lot of top unlicensed fighters and MMA fighters and they have had nightmares with him, from welters to cruisers, unfortunately no where near the level of pros, but there is one unbeaten MMA fighter who has turned pro with me, that certainly has what it takes, very few come through successfully from Unlicensed or MMA, By the way in answer to your question Nasser first did martial arts with me, got the highest gradings in it, then went into Kick Boxing for one month so he could fight, had his first fight a few weeks later at 15 years old against a 28 year old English champion who was stone heavier and beat the English champion, nearly stopping him in the process, because he was so good with his hands I took him to amateur boxing and in his first year he won a midland final and got to a national semi final ( unlucky not to win it, after winning 2 of the 3 rounds, but just behind on points ) In his second year he won the midland again and reached 2 finals, being robbed in both, by that time he had only about 16 fights and was rated 2nd in the junior ABA ratings, when most around him had around 50 + fights, after being robbed in the 2 finals, he left the ams at about 17-18 and trained with former world WBC champion TV pundit Richie Woodhall, who described him as a future world champion, after only about 4 fights in the pros. As for Michael Jennings I take him as I see him and what I have seen with my own eyes, he seems like a nice lad and good role model, but everyone has an off day, none of us are perfect, but believe me I have seen a lot worse in this industry.damianhucker1 wrote:the bold quote is very ironic coming from you .safeerah wrote:I agree, hearsay. and saf , it wasnt anything to do with jumping on a bandwagon to look more popular , its that you was annoying me with your arguing on every thread , ruining ever conversation , thats what riled me about you .
and im sure you do know plenty of people who also know me , but the chances of them knowing which lad i was talking about is very unlikely , although saying that he has knocked out 3 brummies and beat another on points , im told that the gym a couple of them came from is one of the top ones round there too ,for unlicensed lads at least , called Danger defence or D & A , in fact the guy out of that gym seems a nice enough bloke , when we go anywhere near that area to away shows theres always someone there from that gym , shame theyve never beaten any of our lads yet but if they are as good as im told im sure it will happen soon enough , thats boxing .
