Questions:
1. Will there need to be "special handling" regarding the Duran/Ali Draw.....Leonard/Arguello Draw? If so, how will this be handled?
2. Who was the past, and who is the current IBO champion? In reading event 22's matchmaking page, one could assume 1 of three possibilities, (Two Sugars and a Pep)
3. Just how many points does a fighter who takes a three belt champion TO THE BRINK get? One judge actually scored the fight correctly I noticed. After Tyson and Loi....I'm not sure Louis can recover.

Re: Questions:
Sugar Ray Robinson beat Sugar Ray Leonard in week 21 with the IBO title on the line.
Re: Questions:
Great thanks, this weeks info was not clear, I know I'm supposed to know all this, but I depend on a scribe for certain details.
Re: Questions:
OK, I'll run these fights again. I hope no managers are disappointed. This seems better than a vote to my way of thinking, (and I understand we are of different opinions on such matters.)
They will both be run at 10 rounds. They will then be posted this evening. If another draw occurs, I will run fights until we have a winner. I hope this does not create a storm, as always I am willing to work with anyone who has a suggestion on how to improve for the future.

Re: Questions:
I suggest all MDT fights should be 15 rounds, to reduce the chances of draws

I think Duran has the most points from the group stage, if that means anything?DetroitHxC wrote:The tiebrakers are done by tournament record against each other, tournament record overall, tournament scorecards, overall season losses, times knocked out, knockouts earned, least draws, and if they are still tied THEN they can have a rematch.

But should you require further evidence, I would draw your attention to the 2nd page of the Week 22 Matchup thread, when I addressed this issue before the fights were run.Fist of Legend wrote:Sugar Ray Robinson beat Sugar Ray Leonard in week 21 with the IBO title on the line.

Normally, Robinson would be too highly ranked to be elligible for this title, but as I stated before - for the duration of the MDT there will be OPEN TITLE SHOTS and there will not be any title rankings for this period as they will not be needed.
And just to confirm, Robinson's MDT fight against Harry Greb will be an IBO Title fight. Apologies for any confusion on this matter.

Pernell Whitaker?
(involved in a 3-way tie and was lynched from the MDT) it's a bit late now to try to take the righteous path.
Re: Questions:
What about Tyson's points?
Re: Questions:
This issue has been decided. Tyson receieved an accumulated total of six points for his unofficialy victory over Joe Louis... The standard 3 pts for a victory and an extra point for each of Joe's titles.kevo wrote:What about Tyson's points?
You know that and the matter is settled. I can't give you the 15 pts that you want, because the pts were changed weeks ago by due to public demand
(or else Louis would be receiving 12 pts for each of his title defences).
Re: Questions:
Kevo has a point.....
Mike Tyson, and Joe Frazier have defeated this charleton warrior Louis. And one of three judges says Loi did it as well.
These are the men that should be given serious consideration during the next "open week" If Joe Louis considers himself much of a champion.
We may offer these three great men "Special consideration" as the weeks go by if Joe holds on to his trinkets and Sock is in agreement. Certainly they are deserving of a shot at this "Sven Ottke" of a 3 belt champion?

See? 'Buzz agrees, and he's as honest and old as the day is long.
Re: Questions:
Joe Louis needs some mandatories. I think Tyson and Frazier should have an eliminator

And as we are all quite aware, the day is EVER so long.kevo wrote:See? 'Buzz agrees, and he's as honest and old as the day is long.
However, I must take my top flight fighters and now face Armageto and make SIM history. Our camps have never faced off before, and it's become a bucket list item for me.
Re: Questions:
Joe Louis has had a pretty easy (bar Tyson) time of it in recent weeks. (No disrespect intended)JDC wrote:Joe Louis needs some mandatories.
Re: Questions:
Man you are just flat out flatulent....Loi vs Louis was a split decision.....not an easy fight for Joe.
