deMori's plans and future
Re: deMori's plans and future
He has been offered a big fight by DK for December, he has said yes.
Now just waiting on the contract.
Mark has heard it all before so keeping his fingers crossed.

I think Calloway beat more good fighters than Alexander has, I was calling a mismatch.TrainInsane wrote:Alexander was the best opponent de Mori has fought since he returned from exile. Re: deMori's plans and future
Alexander is ordinary but theoretically at least is at his peak. Calloway beat good opponents years ago but was 42 and absolutely gone by the time de Mori fought him. That's why he retired straight afterwards.Brute wrote:I think Calloway beat more good fighters than Alexander has, I was calling a mismatch.TrainInsane wrote:Alexander was the best opponent de Mori has fought since he returned from exile. Re: deMori's plans and future
9 KO losses in his last 12 fights hardly sounds like a fighter at his peak.

Rumor is that the prospective opponent is former WBC champ Samuel Peter.Totalpac wrote:He has been offered a big fight by DK for December, he has said yes.

Re: deMori's plans and future
Interesting name to be thrown up. I thought Peter had retired actually. I know he had a fall out with King over the Wlad fight and they ended up in court. Not sure what his relationship with King is like now?Brute wrote:Rumor is that the prospective opponent is former WBC champ Samuel Peter.Totalpac wrote:He has been offered a big fight by DK for December, he has said yes.

Grano would be the best opponent he has fought by some margin. Hope it happensconvict wrote:I believe its Tony “TNT” Grano.Brute wrote:Rumor is that the prospective opponent is former WBC champ Samuel Peter.Totalpac wrote:He has been offered a big fight by DK for December, he has said yes.

Peter's last fight was a loss in April last year to Helenius. He was supposed to fight Harold Sconiers a few months ago but it fell through.TrainInsane wrote:Interesting name to be thrown up. Re: deMori's plans and future
Since this thread started nearly a year ago, De Mori has had two fights against two imported journeyman at the losing end of there career. Very soon the amount of pages will overtake his amount of bouts, hard to think of a more overated boxer in Australasia. My guess is he fights an imported over the hill journeyman in about March.
Re: deMori's plans and future
He stated that he is fighting in December no matter what if the (original) fight falls through, Weather that means here in Australia or over-seas i don't know.Craigyid14 wrote:Since this thread started nearly a year ago, De Mori has had two fights against two imported journeyman at the losing end of there career. Re: deMori's plans and future
It's not if though he fought Tua or Cameron though is it. Infact the only person on his record who is a 'contender' of sorts is Alex Leapii and that was a draw on Leapii's debut. I guess he sneaked a draw with Elisara Sii Uta (who co-incidentally was coming off a k.o loss to Tua's cousin.)
Re: deMori's plans and future
Awaiting out there is the legendary "Nohit" Singh with his array of belts for Mark!
Re: deMori's plans and future
Sneaked a draw? De Mori knocked Uta down in the fourth and the Kiwi judges gave Uta a hometown draw.Craigyid14 wrote:It's not if though he fought Tua or Cameron though is it. Hometown decisons.........something Aussie's should be careful about speaking of

No New Zealander ever died from lack of a vivid imagination.
Re: deMori's plans and future
Joey Wilson was knocked down by Solomon Haumono in there recent bout and then lost every round but Haumono still somehow managed a draw (on N.Z soil). I do agree N.Z officials are poor but the Aussie ones are really nothing to write home about. Getting back to my original statement De Mori hasnt beaten anybody yet in career spanning over 8 years, I don't think he'd beat the affore mentioned Wilson, might sneak a draw thoughBrute wrote:Sneaked a draw? Surely you couldn't mean Kerry Foley's infamous draw with Robert Berridge ?N2 Shape wrote:Hometown decisons.........something Aussie's should be careful about speaking ofD
Foley hasn't fought since.
Re: deMori's plans and future
Mark would tear his head off and shit down his neck. Wilson lost to Tutaki and only drew with the Goggomobil! De Mori KOed Tutaki on neutral ground in the first round.Craigyid14 wrote:Joey Wilson was knocked down by Solomon Haumono in there recent bout and then lost every round but Haumono still somehow managed a draw (on N.Z soil).
