Where did you get the scores for the 1970 WBC Featherweight Title fight between Johnny Famechon and Vicente Saldivar?

From memory Harry Gibbs was referee and sole judge. He declared Saldivar the winner without speaking to anybody else.

Why would a ref be the sole judge of a title bout? That practice ended a long time ago.

I watched the fight on television in Australia, & Ron Casey, the Australian commentator said there were two judges & the referee scoring. At the completion of the 15th round Casey was aware that Saldivar had won, prior to the official announcement. Apparently, the judges' scoring was known to everybody around ringside. The two Italian judges were: Guerrino Bordini (72-68) & Mario Ferrara (73-70), & the referee, Harry Gibbs' score was 71-68, all for Saldivar.

I don't know what you watched.

Gibbs crowned Saldivar at the end of the fight. Neither of those "judges" are shown as judging or refereeing any other fight so I doubt their existence. One story was of Famechon wanting a rematch when he announced his retirement on the night of the fight.

Ring Magazine August 1970, report of the fight, the relevant paragraph from Jack Tree supports the existence of the judges:
"In fact, despite the unanimity of the decision - 71 points to 68 by British referee Harry Gibbs, and 72-68 and 73-70 by the judges - Saldivar did not fight with the power and authority which stood out in his 25 knockouts in 35 outings before his confrontation with Famechon."
The report is on pages 9 and 37.

Boxing Illustrated's report by Reg Gutteridge has the judges scores & mentions that Saldivar did not raise his arms in victory until the official announcement was made.Boxing News has the judges'scores in their report,as does Fighter magazine in their report by Ray Mitchell.
It's also mentioned in John's book, "Fammo", where it says that one of the judges told Saldivar's people, in the closing stages, that he was in an unbeatable position, hence their celebrations prior to the announcement.
Finally, Boxrec have the judges scores in both fighters records.

Having no judges in a title fight in 1970 made no sense to me anyway. Why would this fight have been different from any other title fight?
