In the process of creating a home gym ( well, in the purpose built shed ) and looking to get my hands on a reasonably well priced power cage as I'm hitting the lifting pretty hard.
Not much joy on eBay, where I have started to realise there aren't actually many bargains to be had anymore. I have managed to pick up Olympic weights and bar on gumtree but not even a sniff of a cage on there. Got a bench, dumbbells etc etc, no problem.
Just wondering where else I could look for a cage? I don't really want to shell out £400+ on a spanking new one but will do if it's the only option I have left.
Power cage/rack. Best place to find one?

If you can weld or know someone that can, that would be the best and cheapest way to get one

I did think of that but in the end I found one on eBay. Bodysolid, can hold a 1000lb, never seen a squat or bench in it ( the bloke had only used the lat pull down he had on it a few times before packing it all away )
All for £150. Happy days

Yeah I was looking on there, they are well priced, especially when it comes to weight plates ( they currently have 50kg bodypower plates going for £74 which is effing cheap for a brand new plate )
Virtually completed my home gym set now though. Mostly second hand gear picked up off gumtree and eBay sprinkled with a few brand new items ( bench )
All in I have bought a power rack, olympic bar, 200kg of olympic plates, olympic dumbbells and a heavy duty bench for just over £500 which I'm delighted with to be honest! I'm impatient when it comes to anything and have probably only spent 3/4 weeks at the most looking too. Bargains are out there to be had it seems.
