I don't understand why DP's chin having not been tested in the pros and TF having been put down by Pajkic in the pros results in you deciding that TF has the better chin? Surely on this evidence we have to suspect Tyson's as Pajkic has only one KO in 16 wins?Maxsplit wrote:Top Trumps style (feel free to disagree)

Fury wins quite clearly in my eyes if he waits 15 months and continues to pack on muscle and experience.
Price's chin has yet to be tested in the pros. But was found wanting in the amateurs.
And most significantly a chubby, muscle free Fury put Price on the floor for a count in the only time they fought.

Price knocks Fury out inside 3 rounds. I think Fury will have been beaten before they do actually meet.
Re: Fury vs Price : 50 - 50 fight in my eyes
Price's chin not being tested is a weak argument. Wlad can't take a punch, everyone knows that, but he makes sure he doesn't have to. So far, Price has shown he doesn't have to have it tested either.
Fury has shown he can be hurt by plodders so that makes it a score a piece in my book.
Whilst Fury may have beat better opposition, he did so by beating Chisora who didn't train, he also lost to John McDermott who Price destroyed in seconds. The way Price is finishing his opponants is arguably more impressive and counters Fury's resume.
If they fight, Price destroys Fury, of that i have no doubt. It's just a shame FUry shit himself and vacated his titles. No chance does he want to face Price now.

I'm stunned so many on this thread think Fury wins. I personally think Price would stop him within 3 or 4 rounds at most. Fury's defence is appalling and he'd be eating straight right hands all night and he also does not have enough power to keep Price off him. I'm 99% sure Price stops Fury if they fight. He's on a different level entirely in terms of technique, power and all round ability. Hopefully the fight gets made for early next year.

Price destroys Fury ? On waht evidence ? That he has a big punch ?Riddick Blowe wrote:Price destroys Fury, and Fury well knows it. Hence the ducking.
Fury's lack of defence would be his undoing, and his chin is not 'solid' as some say. An obese, unprepared Chisora almost had him out of there in their fight, and Chisora isn't even a puncher.
In the same way that you casually dismiss a supposed "obese" Chisora, you can equally say that is the same Chisora who beat Helenius, took Vitali 12 rounds and didn't disgrace himself against David Haye. Price has been able to do what he wants to opponents, he dictated the terms in his fights so far, that wouldn't be the case with Fury.

It was a demotivated Chisora, not a totally out of shape Chisora that fought Fury. Give the man some credit. It wasn't a completely different Chisora who fought Helenius, Vitali and Haye. For once and sadly, i think you must be the one talking out of your hole Hagler.

Who has Price beaten to give you such a clear insight as to what will happen ?
Re: Fury vs Price : 50 - 50 fight in my eyes
I just think they are on different levels mate. I respect your views but I am also surprised that you give Fury such a great chance. The guy is extremely limited in a number of departments, mainly defensively, and in my view there is no way he would be able to take a full blooded shot from Price on the chin. If he was in real trouble against Firtha, a non-puncher, do you honestly believe he would be able to take one of Price's bombs? On that basis, the only way he could win the fight is to avoid being caught and based on what I've seen there is no way he'd be able to be that elusive. Fury is made for Price's straight right hand and in my view as soon as it lands he'll go the same way as Harrison did.Quixall wrote:I am suprised you think this.........SteveDow wrote:I'm stunned so many on this thread think Fury wins. Fury has ducked him once .Price needs to be in a real fight to measure where he is at but i think he would stop Fury and quickly. Both fighters are flawed IMO Price is talented but boring and Fury is the opposite.Never been a 50/50 fight.

Completely agree with the comments that it's about who gets their bombs off first. It's an easy get out but takes out the skill that the fighters use to get into that position.GreedyG wrote:Definitely a 50/50 fight in my eyes and the winner is whoever can get their big bombs off first.
A similar thing was said (and some people still argue that it was true) about Haye v Enzo despite Haye being the better all-round fighter. Fury will have to completely change his gameplan to open up Price. Fury is there to be hit early doors and has so far managed to break down smaller fighters once they start swinging from their boots. Price will stay very orthodox, limit Fury's attacking options and land one right on the button when the opportunity arises.
I for one will be like this

McDermott beat Fury and got knocked out in 90 seconds by Price.Quixall wrote:You don't know that..................TJ77 wrote:Fury has ducked him once .Price needs to be in a real fight to measure where he is at but i think he would stop Fury and quickly. Both fighters are flawed IMO Price is talented but boring and Fury is the opposite.Never been a 50/50 fight.

Price not looked in trouble at all as a pro against moderate-poor opposition, Fury has been in trouble against moderate opposition at best.
We agree Price hits hard... on the basis of those three facts alone Price annihilates Fury as soon as he lands, which is early as Fury is no defensive specialist. Not saying Price KOs anyone, but certainly someone as easy to hit as Fury he does.

Based on what? Being rattled by opposition lower than European class? What makes his heart better than Price's?
Just because Price has won easily so far, I'm not sure you can automatically say that Fury wants it more and is more flexible. Yeah Price needs to be tested, but if you rate Fury's heart and flexibility so highly you must have big question marks over his defence (and chin to a lesser degree) then?

Fury has been in deep water in fights and come back to win. The last time Price shared a ring with someone who had a chance of beating him was Cammarelle and we all know what happened there.sharpei_louis wrote:keithmoonhangover wrote:What about guts, heart, will to win, flexiblilty. Add to the list recuperation in FUry's favour.

can t see anything but a win for price.. on what i have seen of them both..price is better inside and out..quicker footwork...power.. brains.. ... seems fury knows it that why he ducked price for the irish belt and is that why he acted out of character by the way he called out price last night to try and rile price..

Re: Fury vs Price : 50 - 50 fight in my eyes
It is a very tough fight to call when you sit down and you disect the strengths and weaknesses of both Tyson Fury and David Price when you think about it. Price has the edge in technical ability and power, while Fury has the speed and stamina on his side because with Price there are still (in my eyes at least) questions about his stamina as he has yet to go past the 7th round because he has bombed nearly everyone out and the chin has yet to be tested in the paid ranks as we know he got dropped by Fury and Roberto Cammarelle however he showed good defence (abet briefly) against Harrison with his upper body movement and for me Price is the more accurate puncher as well.
But if you were to give me £20 and told to head down to Joe Corals, I would have to say Price in this one (if it ever happens down the line and I think it will) due to his power and superior technical ability

Sorry but I dont see this as a 50/50 fight. Price would win on points if he didnt KO him. I thought Fury was a disgrace saying what he did. Then to mention Bellew in that way he really was crossing the lne. I wonder if God is proud of him LOL. A bit of hype is fine but I dont think I have ever heard a fighter say anything like that. He wont have many fans after that rant.

You can only do what your opponent let's you do and most people are basing what Price will do over wins against Sexton. McDermott and Harrison. I think people don't really like Fury and then seem to believe that Price will blast out everyone that he fights. Price just comes forward and does what he wants, he has never had to take a step back or alter his style, never been in the trenches etc. Fury can take a shot and even when he has hit the canvas, he has got up to win. It's amazing how people are talking up Price after 13 fights and a few wins over some tomato cans. Fury has also fought tomato cans and a slightly diss-interested half tomato can in Chisora, so i don't see why people are so convinced that Price will destroy Fury.
Re: Fury vs Price : 50 - 50 fight in my eyes
This "ducking" business. Maybe I missed something but surely the issue was that C5 had recently signed up Hennessey, whose flagship fighter was (and still is) Fury, therefore Hennessey were never going to accept a fight on another channel (Maloney was then with Sky), which would have royally pissed off C5 and potentially killed that relationship before it ever got going.
Unless of course Price's team were prepared to fight on C5 which would change things..
