First ever fight was an amateur bout at Ollerton Miners Welfare in the 80's as my friend Russell Walker was boxing, later fought for England a couple of times, it was about 86.

Saw one of the best undercard fights I've ever seen which was Shaun Cogan and Andreas Panayi.

Harry Escott's son kept shouting out bizarre corner advice to him - "up and under" "soft and hard".

Met McGuigan that night too.

Wasn't a bad night.

It was especially now looking back to how the fighters have progressed in there careers, the atmosphere was the best i've heard at the olympia
Seems like a good bill to atend i wouldnt of minded going to that 1 myself

Mark Kaylor and Gary Mason on the undercard but all I remember was all the fireworks going off in the crowd, a lot of fights in the crowd and being having coins thrown at us ringside

Bigmark,i went to that fight and yes there was lots of trouble,someone set off tear gas in the stand 10 foot away from me,there was a lad ko'd in front of me and then i had the exciting journey back to the coach park,that was something to remember

Same as me mate, I was only reading the programme on the weekend during a cleanup under my stairs, didn't even realise Bellew and Burns were on the bill! The fight from the undercard that sticks out in my mind is Jones vs Saheed, Silence Saheed is one crazy ass boxer, his style was mental!!

Went to that quite a good bill. I remember when they had the fight posters it had carpark CCTV in operation in big letters just to emphasise that we would be ok.
