Molinaeres vs Starling

Post by BrocktonBlockbuster49 »

I been meaning to ask about this. The ruling was a KO, then swtiched to a NC because it was after the bell, but how come starling didnt get his belt back as a result.

- only time starling was knocked down in his career i believe, and not only was he down he was knocked out cold!! by a journeyman. i watched the fight last night, it was a very hard right hand he hit starling wit

- but since it was swtiched to a NC doesnt that mean starling went through his career without being floored???

Technically I would think so. Wasnt distubing the way Starling didnt even know he was even knocked down, let alone knocked out ,when Larry Merchant interviewed him after the fight?

That was a weird night- Honeyghan and Vaca, or was it Honey.. and the Korean that got hit low? were on the card as well. Then Molinares never defended the title and I don't think he ever fought again at all.

HE DIDNT DEFEND THE title because it got stripped!!!

the fight was swtiched from a knockout to a NC. so he was never credited for knocking out starling.

I think I remember reading that Molinares suffered a detached retina in the fight or afterwards..... this may be the reason he didn't fight again.
