Hopkins/Simon (Simon won the WBO middle belt and would've I think provided a stiffer test than DLH did)
Simon's another wasted talent.

Meldrick Taylor v. Glenwood Brown II. I'd much rather have seen that than the utter disaster that was Norris/Taylor. Taylor/Brown I was good stuff.

MAB/JMM at feather in 01-03. Shame they fought so late into their careers, though they both performed well.

Charles Murray/Rafael Pineda or Loreto Garza.
These were scheduled, but Pineda and Garza withdrew with injuries. Instead, we got Murray/Hooper on the Ferguson/Mercer II PPV.
Too bad Murray turned in that stinker v. Rodriguez on ESPN a few months later. Given that he was with TR, he had a bright future ahead of him, especially since JCC was on the decline.

Galindez/Rossman III instead of Galindez/Johnson; the first two fights were excellent.

Vargas/Reid. Winner should've fought Tito. Instead, he basically wrecked both of them within a year. (Well, Vargas gave Oscar a tough go, but he was done after that.)

Purely from a British perpesctive I'm staggered no-one's mentioned Sibson v Graham or McGuigan v Cruz in England at normal temperatures and without Barney (kiss of death) Eastwood's input.(Allegedly).

Was always disappointed at that one, has the first half, of the first fight showed McGuigan clearly capable of handling Cruz handily.

Weren't Duran and Leonard retired in 90?
And Wilf was way past it by 86; he stayed around way too long, sadly.
Unfortunatly no duran was around til the 2000s

I had McGuigan/Cruz even after 8 and didn't think he was handling Cruz handily at all. Also, McGuigan took...what...two years off after that fight.

I know, and Leonard was around till 97, but they didn't fight in 90. I know Leonard came out of retirement for Norris; did Duran unretire for Lawlor?
