Will tonight's show be competitive?
Re: Will tonight's show be competitive?
The stoppage itself was perfect. Just annoyed that we didn't see it done in Lewis's usual style.

Zamora looks a tough guy for someone with stoppage losses on his record

Are we neglecting the RbR thread or like me do you think it's pointless having a desperate board for all the RbR's?
McDonnell in charge but should he have gotten rid by now?

He looks like he's struggling with the pace a bit to me through a pixelated fug
Re: Will tonight's show be competitive?
McDonnell really struggling to get rid of Luis Suarez. I'd have thought he'd have taken a dive by now.

McDonell is a good boxer but he's not a puncher. Dunno if he can any higher than where he's at present.
Re: Will tonight's show be competitive?
Yep pretty mcuh found his level at European level, can't see him competing with the top guys in the division.ThereByTheGrace wrote:McDonell is a good boxer but he's not a puncher. Dunno if he can any higher than where he's at present.

Would they seriously consider putting him in with Santa Cruz?TheCobra wrote:Yep pretty mcuh found his level at European level, can't see him competing with the top guys in the division.ThereByTheGrace wrote:McDonell is a good boxer but he's not a puncher. Re: Will tonight's show be competitive?
He isn't moving his head much though. McDonnell's success percentage is very high because nearly everything he throws is bouncing off Zamora's static noggin.
Re: Will tonight's show be competitive?
Reid-Anderson was an interesting fight for the first four, then father time dug Anderson out of a hole. McDonnell fight was forgettable. Hope the main event is better. Steady Eddy is getting those prospects Yafai, Cardle et al busy, needs to get them up to title contention pronto, to help fill out all these dates.
Think Matchroom's last 12 months have been very good and I have been a big fan, but he cant live off that and expect a free pass for the new season, with less shows and a Matchroom monopoly at Sky, he needs to consistently deliver now.

Random question: Is Kell Brook adopted?

Re: Will tonight's show be competitive?
not bad predictions by meOld bones Ian wrote:I don't think it'll be an early finish for McDonnell, he'll have to break Zamora down over a few rounds for a 7th or 8th round stoppage. Zamora can bang a bit and Jamie needs to keep his concentration in order, as he can't afford any slip ups now being this close to a world title shot.
I think Saldivia is made for Brook, and can't see anything but a comprehensive win for Kell, maybe 6th round.
Anderson should be to young, strong and ambitious for Reid, stoppage or corner retirement in 8 rounds. Reid does still have a big punch though, just ask Cadman.

Re: Will tonight's show be competitive?
Well that was pathetic. Didn't like the Argies body language the whole fight through. KOd by a job. Terrible. Listen to the ridiculous commentary team pretending that Brook has answered all the questions because he beat a guy who couldn't take a jab.
What's the fuss over Brook? He looks fit and solid, but not much else. Can't see him beating Alexander or taking a whack from Bailey.
