Who was the loudest heavyweight ?

Post by funso banjo baby »

ive never heard a louder heavyweight than Noel Quarless. he was right up there with Monica Seles for decibels.
Which other heavyweights screamed 'wup, wup' when they punched ?

Funso

Can't answer your question, but you've brought back the memory of Noel :TU: Haven't heard his name in some years.

Welcome to the site, mate.

Don't know about who the loudest is, but I really like your screen name. Not many remember Funso Banjo.

I think I've heard refs tell fighters to quiet down and fight. Not sure if that was for groaning , talking or both.

thats true...and im sure Proud Kilimanjaro wud agree with that. Do u remember him? He didnt do anything for 9 rounds and then nearly knocked out Hughroy Currie. Best comment from Carpenter on bbc was 'kilimanjaro has got slower, if thats possible. '

Last I heard, about 2 years ago, Banjo was still in the East End?

Used to spar with him way back in the old days. To date the only person to nearly put me on my butt!! Short left hook, he held back the looping right to finish it! My fault for thumbing hm in the eye I guess :TU:

I predict the loudest HW will be Valuev when someone drops the big guy. It should produce about a 7.1 on the Richter.
