I remember george's missus being interviewed with him on the ring apron after one of his fights, think it was the tune up fight he had before degale, she looked pretty white to me.

It was disrespectful to the belt but George is miles above Kenny Anderson based on his fight against Robin Reid.

In fact based on that fight it would not suprise me if Rocky Fielding was his first defence early next year something I thought prior to the Reid fight Hearn would hold back from.

I'm not interested in Groves versus Anderson II. I don't think Kenny is good enough to make it a decent fight. That said, I can fully see why Kenny and his supporters may feel like they've been messed around over the last 12 months or so, but that should not have lead to the rabid intensity of hate fired off in Groves and his girlfriend's direction by some who purport to be close to Anderson.
Imo Anderson just looks and sounds tough, but he is lucky to be british champion, check his opposition before RR, he has been living off of the Groves knockdown ever since it happened.

Kenny was messed around, but the brother in law, if true, is a silly boy.

No need ofr Groves to fight Anderson, Degale and Paul Smith would both easily beat Anderson, and goves has already beaten all 3 of them.

They should have a face off to see who fights Groves. It would be Degale, and this time, Groves knocks him out.

If that was Groves hitting him clean in DeGale's last fight, it wouldv'e been lights out and good night.

When did Groves turn into Sonny Liston? I mean ok he's got a dig but he drops Smith and some bloke in America nobody's ever heard of and all of a sudden he's apparently the hardest puncher in the universe.

Dye' think Degale would have been boxing off the backfoot against Groves though? Nar, no chance.

All about styles and I'd fancy Degale in a rematch. I didn't think he lost the first and I think he'd have learn't a lot from the fight.

Re the original post. Bang on really. Anderson and fam might be out of order, but Groves should have known the stir that this picture would have caused. Daft really.

Onto Anderson. I don't rate him at all. Never rated him from the performances I've seen him put in. Not only would Groves destroy him in a rematch, but I'd go as far as to say Smith would easily outpoint him.

To be honest I don't think he's learned anything, if anything he has declined. He just sits on the rope and because his opponants have been s*it his skills gets him pretty close points decisions.

I think in a rematch Groves approches it less scared and DeGale gets hit too many times. Groves is probably one of the biggest bangers in the division!

I personally think Degale has been unlucky with inactivity and seeing has he doesn't have dynamite in his fists, he's had to rely on sitting on the ropes as his engine has faded. I've seen enough of Chunky though to tell me that IF he gets fit and active, he'll be a class fighter. He's definitely got the pedigree.

For me, Degale lost the first fight on the cards (wrong result imo) because Booth set Groves out with a plan which turned out to be a tactical blinder. I think this slightly clouded people's minds about how Groves actually did, because most people were expecting Chunky to destroy Groves and when this didn't happen, rounds started totting up in Groves' favour.

Regardless, I had it very close as it was, but if they were to meet again I'd fancy Degale to be more convincing this time, providing he's in shape. I don't think Booth can set Groves out on the same gameplan as the first fight and I think Degale will try to get Groves to engage more. You say Groves will fight less scared and hurt Degale, I say Groves will fight less scared but get tagged by Chunky.

Don't forget, Groves has not got a chin. Anderson had him down; Smith had him wobbled at the end of the 1st. Degale imo possesses more power than both these fighters.

A lot of people are saying that the "bin" photo is disrespectful to the belt etc. I think they are missing the point slightly. When Groves tweeted the photo, the accompanying words were something along the lines of "here I am giving MY title to Kenny Anderson". So by that I think he means that Anderson belongs in the bin, or gutter or whatever, and not that the belt belongs there. See what I mean?

If Groves won't give the belt back then what are the BBBofC going to do about it?

Anderson v Smith would be a good bout; I'd not be that bothered to see DeGale v Groves 2, the first bout wern't that exciting or enthralling, DeGale would beat Anderson in a tough bout; Groves is the domestic best and doesn't owe either Anderson or DeGale a rematch.

Only ever seen Anderson's power against no-marks. Groves was put down but he's not the sturdiest, and The Reaperman was looking for a way out after he started blowing out his arse.

I accept I may not be privvy to what he does in the gym, but I can't help thinking Anderson is a tad over rated on here.

Groves technique is much improved.

Would not surprise me to see him 'flash' knock down the Road Warrior once or twice.
Speed and power, the boy is talented and learning, Degale is not as great as he thought, he is just showy with no power imo, and getting hit way too much.

I would also say James was hurt more against the Pole fighter than Groves ever has been in the pro game, even taking into account the Anderson knockdowns.
James was like a flag in the wind for a few moments.

Just a tad, James. Recent performances have changed a few minds. He's not looked good at all.

I know what you mean. When I look, I see quite a few levels difference between Groves and Anderson. Just looks obvious to me :-?

If I was Groves I'd not fight Anderson again - it would do the Scots head reet in.
