"I'm high risk, low reward"....Martin Murray

Post by DIRT SUGAR »

.... No Martin, you're your own worst enemy and need your promoter or manager to do the talking!

Surely boxers who don't talk themselves up a bit ain't going nowhere in the sport today. Need to be a bit more Audley in the gob dedpartment. 'I respect him and I'll let my fists do the talking' only works if you bring it like Hatton.

He is spot on. He is high risk after drawing with Strum, proved his world level and can test anybody. He is low reward because he's not a big name and there will never be a large cash sum on the table!

Martin couldn't fight Chavez because he couldn't get a visa or gain access to the US because of some conviction. Now most best Middleweights in the World are fighting in the US and getting decent exposure over there. So, Murray is in a sticky situation. Are top MW's avoiding him, probably not but the top MW's with the exception of Geale are fighting in the US now regularly.

Totally agree. Shame about his visa issues restricting him to fighting in the US also
