A little Greatest Rounds in Boxing History video I made

Post by vitorhandspeed97 »

Made this video the other day with what I think is the greatest round 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc all the 12 rounds of boxing in history. Each round is in the video in it's entirety, please give it a watch if you have a second. Let me know what you think of it. Thanks

I'm not supposed to watch videos at work but it's so slow that I skimmed through it. Very well done from what I saw. My personal favorites are round 1, 9 and 10. Hearns Hagler round 1, Gatti Ward round 9 and Castillo Corrales round 10 are all absolutely breath taking even after seeing them countless times.

Castillo-Corrales only so by clever manipulation of the Ref by Chico. Not sure that round would have worked out for him if he handn't found a "fail safe" plan......thinking "out of the ring" so to speak.

Nevertheless, that round is a great piece of boxing history.

You wouldn't catch ol' Harry Greb spitting out a mouthpiece or finding some sort of "work around" to give him a leg up on his opponent..

...hmm...come to think of it, with no film.....I wonder just what Ol Harry WAS up to.....

You have to give Diego a bit of credit on that one. It was a bit cheap but he did what he had to do to survive. I still wish Weeks would have gave a count to Castillo instead of stepping in.

Any plans to add rounds 13, 14 and 15 since, to old timers like me, those are the championship rounds?

Ray, I asked him that on a sidebar, he answered that he was unsure it would be able to be posted to youtube at the additional length, and he was concerned about the quality of the film he would be able to obtain, (I suppose based on age.) I'm thinking we can just imagine Harry Greb, Maxie Rosenbloom, and Fitz.......

I get the feeling he may be motivated by the reviews, and may do some homework and post the last three "a la carte".

Saad is SO RIGHT about MSM being able to absorb punishment....the man was the original Timex. Or did someone just fill him full of novacaine going in? Dentist in the family perhaps? It's hard to watch Lopez work that hard for no cigar.

I can do 13-15, I just wanna do it right you know? Current video is gone from the editing stage and I'd have to start over. I can for sure do another one though. Maybe I can take requests. Depends on what I can pull together

Considering that the referee never takes a point on the first incident of losing your mouthpiece. I'm actually surprised more guys don't use that "Spitting the Mouthpiece" thing to their advantage when they get dropped hard.

Nice concept and nice video. Good to see Waters/Norris slip into round 2 there.

The 15th round of Limon-Chacon IV was pretty dramatic. 15th of Holyfield-Qawi also. I'm sure there are more.
