i have just seen on peter madonagh twitter that hes been give rematch against heffron and by the sounds of it is feeling up to the challenge even though was a one sided fight last time out i feel macdonagh will be pretty much oozing with confidence since a contravecial decision with hot prospect bradley skeete (imo it could have gone either way) soo going off his last fight this rematch could be a cracker aslong as macdonagh comes out of his shell could also lead too plenty more openings for heffron too unload .

I wonder how Heffron feels about this bout, bit of a come down from potential matches with Barnes, Smith and Gavin. McDonagh makes everyone look bad, at this stage it's not a move forward, maybe they could not get anyone better, but Heffron is looking to get big fights, not rematches with fighters he has beat before, he should be fighting for an eliminator, to get into position.

Good lad, if he's your pal; not really sure about his story. I've seen him box a few times and don't know what to make of him, he is fit, game and tough and not a real hitter. If you know him, what are his aims? Is boxing a job or does he feel he can move up the ratings?

i've met him a few times,when i've been to some of his fights i've had a few chats with him, probably doesnt remember me.

last goal i heard him say was to be a 3 weight southern area champion as no-one else had done it

yes i do wonder if they have struggled to get heffron another oponnent ?? never thaught of that suppose non of us know what happens behind closed doors with pullouts etc ino barnes pulled out of a fight smith has gone up to light middle well has always been a light middle imo and gavin is top of the bill already matched vs witter as you will no can see big fight coming for heffron soon though wonder what warren has in store for him in the near future?? seen him and met him a couple times heffron seems decent lad who keeps him self too himself exiting prospect

So if you win and Mcdonagh wins then you and Mcdonagh could fight for the british title ? If that is the case, I am sure there will be a lot of people not happy about not getting a shot. This is what is wrong with boxing in this country, a lot of the top promoters are keeping titles in house, by pitting their champions against their own fighters, just like Warren has done before Burns/Walsh, Cleverley/Bellew, Heffron is with Warren, not sure if Mcdonagh still is, but one thing for sure is that he will be if he was to beat Heffron. Heffron was due to fight Smith, Gavin and Barnes which if he had won one of these, would have qualified him for a shot at the title, as he would have proved himself at a higher level ( Smith being unbeaten ) now he fights a journeyman ( all be it a good one ) to get a shot, not saying Heffron is not good enough, just that there are other fighters out there more qualified.

I am a welter, an will take a voluntary with any1 back at welter, only going to light middle cos it's a bigger fight than a 8 rounder v TBA, the other big fight for me was heffron at welter an it didn't happen, nothing to do with me from my part, I was fit n ready twice. I just want decent fights now weather be at welter/light middle, an by I have one next week which I'm focussed on

Iv asked for welter every fight,every time iv been 11 stone plus is on the day weigh in an always done 10,10 the day be4 for them fights. As for asking, I asked fro heffron fight, got made, then gelling threw, nothin to do with me, now I will just box who they put in front of me, pointless asking for fights without a title.

Ronnie really needs to get moving instead off going over old ground, hopefully this is his last learning fight and is let of the lead soon, he could be in entertaining fights with Pryce, Lynes, Purdy, Smith and Gavin

Good fight with Heffron the body snatcher and McDonagh giving a good account of himself.
Just ended ref gave it 77-76 and it was close.Heffron makes awful noises like Russian tennis player which gets on your nerves after a while and was lucky not to lose a point for persistent low blows.
Peter only had 5 days to get ready and was fleshy round the waste and perhaps another between the two would be ideal.I don't think Heffron would want it.

On tonights fight Heffron ain't ready to step up yet, he is too open, no defense and he don't punch hard enough for his style, his trainer said he could beat Gavin now, is he serious, Mcdonagh did well but he looks an old fighter, but still has a lot of heart, I also thought Heffron should have been deducted a point for hitting low that would have made it a draw, I feel Heffron has gone backwards from a year ago when he looked good, maybe it is inactivity who knows ? If he carries on fighting like that with his chin exposed, he will get stopped, needs to think about defense when he attacks, as well.

Yes, I meant on the refs scorecard, it was a bit too close on the refs card, but for me I never thought Heffron was in danger of losing, but the performance was not good enough, a boxer like Gavin would pick holes in Heffron, I am worried how easy it is to load up on the lad and land, leaves himself so open when he attacks.
