I enjoy Haye. I don't think he takes life too seriously and this will raise his profile in further, which will help when coming to push for a Klitschko match. Makes sense to me.

I really don't know how this is going to help him get the Klitchsko fight. Are ITV going to come crawling to Haye and get back in the boxing saddle? I don't think so.

Haye is already quite a well known celebrity anyway having featured on "all star" game shows before.

None taken Keith! :D Each to their own but if he wants to raise his profile surely there's a better platform than a programme also starring Brian Conley and that woman from Birds of a Feather!

If he was to become 'King of the jungle', his popularity would soar. Seriously, it would eclipse anything he had achieved so far. Look at what it did for Peter Andre and Jordan and they did not even win.

At it's peak I'm a Celeb had 10 million viewers, most of whom aren't boxing fans. It's a good way to expand his fan base. I'd rather he fought Povetkin on the way home, but, hey..... you can't have it all.

Hasn't done much for Pasquale and Tony Blackburn.

He might become more well known, but not sure how that equates to getting the revenue for Klitchsko. Klitchsko won't fight Haye in the UK - and the German people aren't going to give too hoots about what Reality TV show Haye has won.

It will help Haye's bank balance, and help him for a career outside of the sport but cannot see how it can help Haye get fights.... TV aint interested in the sport.

Being a big name doesn't necessarily mean getting the big fights these days - look at Holyfield, cannot get a fight despite being a massive name. It won't help Haye, particularly as it will only make him a bigger name in the UK - not in the rest of Europe or America.

Be better if he fought Chris Arreola in the states.

It will keep him current and a wider audience will know who he is.That can't be a bad thing?

True, although the Klitschko's will be thinking about money from British TV and also Haye's name will be in the German Press from being in a reality tv show. I think this is a good move for him.

Good for Hayes bank balance, looks like his acting career will never taker off, he can only fight or prance around in these type of things. I don't watch these things, won;t matter to me.

It's incredible how Haye has gone from old school seeking out the challenges to an almost Audley Harrison level of a joke in 4 years. His bout with Klitschko was basically a remake of Judah-Witter.

That's touted as one of Witters finest performances ? and as for seeking out challenges Haye was at Chisora/Vitali trying to get a fight with the champion and kayoed Chisora in the mean time.

I used to watch this in the early days before the novelty wore off. One of the few things which would make me warm to David Haye again is if he took one single blow to ice both Ant and Dec at the same time.

I would probably watch this to see him 'bond' with the likes of Ian Krankie.

Krankie: "So, what was all that pish about your big toe, David?"
Haye: "Listen, it really hurt. No one knew my pain that night."
Krankie: "Get f*cked, ya bam. Even when Jeanette fell off the f*cking beanstalk and nearly killed herself she didnae whinge as much."

I don't think Haye will be very popular with the public. His kind of persona works better in 10-20 minute bursts before his ego gets a chance to rocket too high. This might expose the negatives in his make up.

That said, I have no objection to a man planning a career after boxing, especially a legal career. This forum is full of people who moan about boxings current status and its inability to crossover to the mainstream, yet whenever a boxer or boxing is giving that exposure, you still moan.

Finally, comparing Haye to Audley is entirely ridiculous. Comparing Haye's one loss and the subsequent excuse against Audleys paid career is just crazy and verges on trolling.

Am I being too serious in thinking Haye will lose weight and then have to mess about putting it back on again when he comes out to get back to being a full-blown heavyweight?

And secondly I think Haye will be well liked. I've seen enough of him to know that the trash talking is a fight selling act. I think he's shrewd enough to go in there and be humble and cross-over to the general public, and he will do. The guy is a smart lad whatever you think of him.

As opposed to those celebrities doing it for altruistic reasons?

My point being, he will do anything for money.
If I had several million in the bank I would not be doing things like this, but as Wald said, he is a wanabee.
Hey, its his life, but while he is a boxer, I am entitled to have an opinion, valid or not.

i dont find it as cringeworthy though if the person is still current and the programme is pretty decent compared to the other dross

nothing funnier than seeing ex Soap stars that have failed in there bid for "grittier Roles" stuffing creepy crawlies anywhere they can
