You know, that's damn curious... I'd never even thought of this but BH somehow seemed to look different than I remember him looking a few years ago. And now that you mention it, he is starting to look like a smaller thinner version of Holmes @ age 38, when he first started wearing glasses.

I think Hpkins and Hagler had simuliar careers I dont know about Holmes though, I dont see either Holmes or Hopkins as quiet either, they both didnt have a problem tooting their own horns...Holmes made the famous comment about Marciano not being able to hold his jock strap and Hopkins always has something crazy to say b4 a big fight, remember the comments he made about Taylors brother that commit suicide and the throwing of the Puerto Rican flag b4 the trinidad fight..so they both didnt have a problem bringing attention to themselves.

They can do the talk when they want but I don't think they're really comfortable with that. I know that Holmes is really naturally quite a reseved person and Hopkins seems the same.

I don't blame Holmes saying what he did after all the badmouthing and messing around he had to put up with from Cooneys camp and certain sections of the media who were out and out hoping for Cooney to win.

There was a very strong racial undertone to the fight which wasn't Cooneys or Holmes fault but mainly the management and promoters, but also the media. Much of the media sided with Cooney and predicted he would beat Holmes and even said how the heavyweight championship and boxing itself needed Cooney to win. I've always thought that Holmes was deeply hurt by all this and if you followed him at the time you can see that after the Cooney fight he became much more techty and even bitter especially with the media... whereas before he had been more relaxed and easygoing.
