Nedal Hussein will be Scott Harrison's opponent on the 5th of Nov at the Braehead Arena.

Not a bad choice this one Hussein will certainly come to fight.

yeah good match up, hussain has been in against some top opposition including oscar larios and the pac man although he fell short against them , he has a decent dig on him but coming up from super bantam i dont know how strong he will be against a massive feather weight like scott harrison. my prediction is that he causes harrison some problems early on but harrisons strength will begin to tell and he will stop hussain late or win by decision.

Agreed. Skinny's strength will determine how well he'll do.

Can't Sports Network put their 'world' champions in with guys their own size? Harrison outweighs most feathers come fight night, but superbantams?

Is there another promoter in the world who puts on so many world title fights with his guys against lower weight guys? I dont think anyone even comes close to Warren on that front.

yep,I know what you mean. Surely its a recipe for danger,something should be done to stop this size mismatch. I consider it to be legalised cheat.

Size difference or not (and I think the size difference isn't as big as people make out) this is a tough one for Scot Harrison, a real tough one.

Yes, Harrison is a big Featherweight - but Hussein stands at 5 foot 7 (sameish height) and has been weighing and has won titles at Super Featherweight - including his last bout.

I have the feeling I might go a similar pick as I did for Polo vs Harrison - undecided yet, but more I hear about Hussein, the more I rate him.

I think Hussein has the skills to do a Polo.

I doubt Hussain will outbox him, but he does have a wicked left hook to the body. And Scott Harrison has displayed a weakness recently to body punches.

Yes usual SN tactics of weight advantage for their man, but still I agree Hussein has a chance of pulling off the upset here. He can box and hit, plus has been if big guns like Pacman and Larios. He should have no fear of Harrison - good fight.

Hmm it's possible he will be stronger at Feather. Pacquaio was meant to be too small at featherweight, and he's not done badly since movingup.

This could be an interesting one.

My thoughts, I don't see a big weight issue here - Hussein has been campaigning at Super Feather (in title fights) since the Larios fight. An Aussie poster from another site (whom I respect) was worried about weight making issues BEFORE the Larios fight and geniunally believes that was the reason for his drab showing.

I'd say that's the wrong way to beat Harrison. Harrison has a chance if you bang with him. Hussein is fairly quick and light on his feet - that's got to be the way to beat Harrison.

Yeah at 5.7" he's the same height - guess he'll have to ditch the nickname "skinny" pretty soon.

Look what happened against Polo, and Polo wasn't punching with much venom, Harrison was all over the place over the last 3rd of the fight.

The way to beat Harrison is to stick and move and plant your feet occasionally, then use the angles when he starts slowing down. Scott gets discouraged when he is getting picked off and cannot get in range, and he doesn't have a plan B when someone is using the ring and working him over.

Skinny will be hoping like hell he comes to fight , cos simply he will plant his feet and drop the body shots in. Skinny is a wicked body puncher , he can move a bit too, don't worry about the weight difference its the power difference that will tell and personally i feel skinny has the power.

Agree though how do they keep getting away with these matchups, although this one could come back to bite them on the arse..

I am coming round to the idea of an upset here.

I really don't think Harrison is on the same level as Pacquaio and Larios.

Now i know you might laugh at me, but the way to win against Harrison is to fight in a style like Andy Morris, lots of movement , good sharp punches, body shots.
I'm not saying Morris could beat Harrison , but the style he fights in is what i'd be looking for if i was training a boxer to beat Harrison

oh last time I bet on Harrison to lose I was gutted that the judges scored the Polo fight a draw.
am also coming round to the idea of this although i'll admit outside of a few highlights of the Pac fight I haven't seen Hussein.
I just think it's only a matter of time before Scott loses and has looked hurt in both the Polo and Brodie fights.

Harrison has turned out to be a disappointment I think. On the way up he showed decent skills along with a bit of movement and fought some good learning fights. But since winning the title he has become a crude walk forward fighter with no plan B. While that's enough to beat some of the guys he has been facing if he fought like that against Marquez he would get one hell of a hammering.

Lots of fighters go stale with the WBO (and other fake titles) while others revel in it. Everything hinges on if you are comfortable and want to settle into that 2nd teir... so genuine contenders beware - it ain't a stepping stone; before you know it your foot will be swallowed up.
