He pays the fighters he cares about (Clev, Burns)
The fighters that are just cannon fodder or he thinks aren't world beaters don't get paid (Bellew, Mitchell)

If true, the fighter needs to make a complaint to the Board! Use the proper channels! Get motherfudging Rumpole on to it!

if any of these allegations hold water, would it be a fair inference that certain boxing promoters seem to be fairly hand-to-mouth in terms of their cashflow nowadays?

2 sides to every story. I suspect we will hear from Frank very soon. Bit unprofessional to put this on twitter whilst he is still signed to FW in my opinion. If I was owed money by someone and after chasing the money and still not getting paid by a certain date then I would go straight to the courts to get this money which will cost Kevin nothing to do so.

Like I said 2 sides to every story.

FW please tell us your side??

Can you explain to us all, how Mitchell, or anyone else for that matter, could attempt to recover thousands of pounds through the civil courts with no risk of costs or expense...

I agree he should be paid immeadiately But Probably he has signed a private contract with Bunnys company which is outside the Boards Remit Look what happened to Calzaghe he signed a contract with Bunnys old company and when he won the case the company folded

Think your wrong mate , how long did it take to get paid. The board rules are within 7 days someone else can clarify this.

The articles said Bellew was paid, and actually owed FW money. It's starting to look like a way of getting away from your promoter.
Your wrong mate. Tony owed his manager fee for Mcintosh fight. That does not mean he was paid on time for previous fights.

I think he was paid, eventually. Bellew had to pay the bloke 20% of his purse for his fight with McIntosh.

More importantly, Bellew got out of his boxer-manager agreement with him because FW was found to be in serious breach of this when Dean Powell, acting as his agent, told Bellew he had to give up his Commonwealth title to get a shot at Cleverly. This wasn't true.

Yeah, I remember that part. Seemed harsh to me, as it could have been a genuine mistake due to confusion with other titles.
Very hospitable of you, DD. Interesting, though, that it ended up being contested by Ovill and Jeff Evans on an otherwise no mark allegedly show in Halifax merely weeks later. I believe the CBC were told that Bellew had vacated to keep it moving and give other boxers a chance - that wasn't true. The QCs didn't share your hospitable view - as I understand it, anyway.

Terry Dooley did some excellent reporting on this.

I think FW will put the money in an interest bearing account then put the interest in his pocket. Its just business - the longer he has the cash the better for him.

I'm not saying its right but that's my take. He will get paid - hopefully!
