I thought Walsh was a division or 2 below super feather.

Good luck to you Ronnie! You have been making plenty of noise, now is your opportunity to back up the talk.

Would be good if this is on TV

just had a look and he normaly is round the 9st mark but he has come in as big as 9st8lbs so he must boil his body quite alot to make the weight. its an interesting fight shame no tv the walshs are very highly thought of (liam the best imo). its the chance for ronnie to deliver wat he has spoken about on previous threads good luck to lad and well done for taking the fight at 3 weeks notice in the lads back yard. a good win here sets u up and a massive platform to build on

Shouldn't be a problem mate, Stuart Green hadn't boxed over 8x2s before he boxed Lee McAllister for the Scottish over 10x3s. Hope the fight goes ahead, 2 guys up for a 'square go' would be cracking to watch.

Ronnie will do 10 x 3 no problem. People don't realise he used to fight over 12 rounds a lot in kickboxing. I would be very shocked if this fight goes anywhere near 10 rounds. I think with 2 bangers we will see a stoppage.

All the best Ronnie,This is a good chance to put us(Dundee)on the map,get a good scalp in Ryan Walsh and come back and defend the title in Dundee,i'll be rooting for you all the way mate.
I'm not sure that theres many Dundee folk on Boxrec but i'll spread the word to my mates who've got a fleeting intrest in the sport.
I know i dont need to tell you but you are gonna need to be in the shape of your life for this bout,he's a good fighter is Walsh with a good workrate but in all honesty i know youve got the beating of him, he's no got the fighting pedigree you've got even though you plied your trade in kickboxing. You will need to win it well though,Its bad enough your fighting in his backyard, but also you know it suits a lot of people in the sport to have 3 brothers as unbeaten champions, for the gimmick if nothing else ay
Good luck bud. :TU:

i cant see Warren adding to this his station at this notice, overseas fights are easier as all they really have to do is send a commentator really. I remeber they showed highlights of the Dundee card on ringside, but they ommitted Ronnies fight ,which i am sure was the main event - Never seen Sky do that before, show a card but not showing a main event.

I agree can't see this being on tv either. Is a shame as this has the making of being a very exciting fight. As for Ronnie's fight not being on sky, that's hard to understand they showed the Limond and Windsor fights. No offence but the Limond fight was boring. The best fights were Stuppart/Mckelvie and the Clark/Al hamidi. It's a shame the interesting fights are not getting followed but we keep needing to watch all these mis match fights. I think most people looking at this fight will be favouring Walsh or at best give Ronnie a 50/50 chance this is what boxing should be about. Good Competitive fights

I've seen some of Walsh saw his fight with Ancliff but saw nothing of Clark. Both guys undefeated with Walsh being the more experienced. Based on that I would say Walsh points but I'd like to see ronnie winning.

Admitly David i aint seen your brother fight , so i cant comment on it ,but if your looking at the records alone i would have to put Walsh as strong fav ,but he is fighting at two weights higher than he normally does and your brother hasent fought in that level ...

no doubt you and your fellow peers from dundee will try and blitz the thread with loads of posts saying your brother is the best prospect in the uk etc but i will stick with my opponent .

But hes flying the flag for ALBA so i wish him good luck and hope he can overcome the odds and bring the win back :TU:

First of all fair play to both guys for taking the fight. Alot of young boxers like fighting no1's but this is the sort of fights us fans want to see. as for who is fav and whos not? Walsh is probs fav because hes at home. Alba is right when he says that Walsh is more experienced in boxing but as far as am led to believe Clark was a former Kickboxing champ, so hes probs fought more rounds thAn Walsh and away from home in a hostile atmosphre. Who wins?? am going with Clark by 5th round TkO. :bag:

Yes definitely agree Walsh is strong favourite we won't blitz this thread. I think anyone thinking Walsh has fought at 2 weights below is a bit naive. His last fight was at Super Feather and he will be as big a Ronnie at that weight. I think honestly looking at records this is a 70/30 fight in favour of Walsh. Saying that fights aren't won on paper. I'm going for a Ronnie TKO within 5 rounds. Great fight and I can't wait.. Ronnie wants to fight the best and that's what he's trying to do

Well im naive am i David ? well what title to date has Walsh won ? BBBofC English super bantamweight (which is two below SFW is it not) title is the title ,and that was only two fights before that And his fights with Ancliffe and Reid before that were Super bantam as well ... look at his record ... it was back in 2009 that he constantly fought at that weight ...

My point is that although he has fought at Super Bantam it was a couple of years ago and he probably weighed in the night before.. I personally think he is more of a Super feather maybe a feather.. My point was its naive to think he will be smaller...

my moneys on the shark, hes going into the lions den an underdog, but that will suit him down to the round, the atmosphere wont bother him in the slightest, hes been there and done that all over the world with kickboxing etc, theres not much footage of ronnies boxing matches, which hopefully means ryan walsh doesnt know too much about him,and thinks hes gonna sock a jock and have an easy pay day!!!!,but i believe the shark will bite and win by a tko round 6 :o
