Fox sport 3 has Chris John's WBA Super World Featherweight defense against Chonlatarn Piriyapinyo live tonight from Singapore, the program running from 10.30pm to 3am. Main support is Daud Cino Yordan defending IBO featherweight title against Choi Tseveenpurev.

Good weekened of fights, Watched the Chris John fight card and now sitting down to watch Klitshco on delay.

By the way how old is the Colonel? I remember he came out to commentate on a Shannon Taylor card. Cant be the same one. Guess it must be. Oh and 'Colonel' was in inverted commas. so i guess he made corporal.

It was the first time I have seen Chris John for a full bout. I think he is very competant but not many super fights in his resume.

Bob Sheridan is one of a kind. He is 68 years old, has been commentating on fights and other sports since 1966. He has been to Australia several times. "The Colonel" is a nickname somebody gave him, probably because his voice sounds like it belongs on a parade ground.

As for John? He is unbeaten in 50 fights with four World Champions on his resume and has been WBA champion or super champion since 2003.

I enjoy listening to the Colonel commentate, it was embarrasing listening to Mark Warren alongside him.
It sounded as if Mark was trying too hard to impress the Colonel when he shoudlve just shut up and let Bob talk...It was good to see John in a real scrap, and see him being aggressive. I hope his next fight is in the USA against a big name opponent......or maybe Billy Dib.

Also, I checked my Fox program and it looks like the Yusaf Mack v Carl Froch but is being shown on Fox psorts one this Sunday morning, LIVE from 0430hrs WST (0730 in Vic/NSW)..
