Male v Warrington *SPOILER*

Post by The Insider »

Tough fight that Warrington won comfortably enough on points. Most judges had it 6 or 7 to Josh. For the record I had it 4. Josh controlled the early rounds and a few whispers at ringside thought that he might stop Chris the way he was going. To his credit Chris hung in there and continued to fire back and came back a bit in the latter rounds. Well done Josh the new English Champ.

Excellent performance by josh Warrington who bossed the fight from start to finish hardly taking a backward step.I had him win by 6 . Credit to Male though who did well to survive the fourth even with the ref constantly stepping in to give him breathers. He did rally And kept going to the end but was always second best despite a gutsy show.

Great to see these to lads put their unbeaten records on the line & get it together - especially Warrington going into the opponents backyard and taking the English title.
Well done both lads .

They were a thoroughly decent lot weren't they and Josh was really made up he was champ. Chis took some big shots (as his face testified to after) and did well to come back into it later on. I'm sure Chris can take positives from this and come back better next time. Well done to both of them.

Yeah chris took some big shots and the fitness of both lads was unreal. Chris come back well from the 7th with a great body attack which hurt josh but he dug in and held on for the victory. I'm sure chris will b back and learn from the fight.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable fight. Both fighters had a high workrate and good stamina. They clearly trained really hard for this fight and the atmosphere was brilliant. Josh was very impressive and did not look in trouble throughout. Chris had a good spell in the middle rounds but it was a fair result.

I noticed that upon arrival and informed the MC accordingly.

Steve Wood's 'VIP Boxing Promotions' is located in Manchester but Josh is from Leeds.
