your "worst" scoring ever
Now i know scoring a fight is a matter of opinion but what fights have you scored thats been totally different to the vast majority, mines is Kell Brook/Carson Jones ,i know Brook was knackered and looked bashed up and was pushed harder than ever before but i had him fairly comfortably(in regards to scorecards) what about you guys? what fights have you seen different?
Re: your "worst" scoring ever
john murray vs yousef al hamidi i had yousef winning by 2 rounds
Re: your "worst" scoring ever
Mines was hands down Billy Smith v Ciaran Duffy up in Glasgow. Smith won almost every round and had Duffy down and in trouble in one of the rounds. When the score was read as Duffy the winner The Crowd were booing and even Smith, who let's remember excepts defeats with no problem wasn't very happy
Re: your "worst" scoring ever
I had Froch/Johnson a draw.

Re: your "worst" scoring ever
I watched that from ringside and could not believe Murray won that one, Al hamidi boxed his head off, imagine what would have happened to both fighters careers if Al Hamidi had got the result, as he should have done ?Adamj1987 wrote:john murray vs yousef al hamidi i had yousef winning by 2 rounds
Re: your "worst" scoring ever
i was further up the stand but i agree, al hamidi is alot better than he is given credit for. murray would f recovered but that undefeated streak would of snapped and he'd of missed mitchell i thinkPeter Parker wrote:I watched that from ringside and could not believe Murray won that one, Al hamidi boxed his head off, imagine what would have happened to both fighters careers if Al Hamidi had got the result, as he should have done ?Adamj1987 wrote:john murray vs yousef al hamidi i had yousef winning by 2 rounds

Very under-rated Al Hamidi. I watched him beat Crolla a few years back in Bolton. Didn't realise he'd taken Murray close too
Re: your "worst" scoring ever
official scoring i had it the opposite wayStevenB wrote:Very under-rated Al Hamidi. I watched him beat Crolla a few years back in Bolton. Didn't realise he'd taken Murray close too
referee: Terry O'Connor 77-75
i think this pic after the fight but before the announcement says it all Youseff is in the red with his arms raised

Re: your "worst" scoring ever
Think most people already know I scored Bradley 115 Pacquiao 113 but hell I haven't been ridiculed about it for a while. So go nuts...
Re: your "worst" scoring ever
how dare you, thats a travesty, its an insult to boxing how very dare you call yourself a boxing journalist!dbflex wrote:Think most people already know I scored Bradley 115 Pacquiao 113 but hell I haven't been ridiculed about it for a while. So go nuts...
i am of course joking i don't think it's that controversial
Re: your "worst" scoring ever
I had Diaz-Malignaggi I a draw and thought the decision was fair.
I thought the result of Valuev-Holyfield was fair, although I don't recall my score.

I scored the first fight between Holyfield and Lewis a draw as well. I think no one agrees with me apart from the judge

I to was at ringside bad cut for Murray thought Id get hit with the spray, made me feel a bit sick. Close fight, very close. I had it a draw.Peter Parker wrote:I watched that from ringside and could not believe Murray won that one, Al hamidi boxed his head off, imagine what would have happened to both fighters careers if Al Hamidi had got the result, as he should have done ?Adamj1987 wrote:john murray vs yousef al hamidi i had yousef winning by 2 rounds

Re: your "worst" scoring ever
I thought joey Vegas beat Nathan cleverley when they fought.
Also saw a terrible boxer once called Danny Goode he fought over six rounds if memory serves and he was deducted a couple of points, was knocked down and he still won but did nothing in the other rounds to merit it. Classic home town decision for a truely awful boxer.

I felt Hatton deserved a draw at best against Collazo.

Re: your "worst" scoring ever
I had Jason Booth beating Moliter, devastated when he never got the decision!
Re: your "worst" scoring ever
Marquez 118-110 Pacquiao in the 3rd fight.
Gave Pac the first and last, nothing in between.
Probably a little bit wide in hindsight but Manny was still soundly beaten.

Re: your "worst" scoring ever
Fury-McDermott must rate pretty high
Re: your "worst" scoring ever

David Barnes v Jimmy Vincent British Welterweight title 2003.
Disgrace.
Disgrace.
Re: your "worst" scoring ever
John Simpson vs Dazzo Williams. I think I scored it 118-110
Remember watching Fury vs Mcdermott I in a boozer in Newcastle with no sound and scored that 97-93 McD IIRC. Couldn't believe that Fury's hand got raised and was astonished when the score was revealed as 98-92!
Edit totally misread the subject!
Dont know if this is my worst but I remember quite a few people on here saying that O'Hara should have got the nod against Burns but I thought Burns won by 4-5 round I think
