Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
Shockingly one sided fight.
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
How has this guy remained unbeaten? he can't even throw a punch properly. Just shows how bad the division is. Why do people pay to watch these stiffs?
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
I'm sure all of Wlads sparring partners put up a better fight then Wach
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
Shit but tough. Respect for that. Hopefully Wlad gasses and things might get funny.
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
Wachs got some chin. If Wlad had been hit with half of those punches he'd have hit the deck without a doubt.

What a stinker. Wlad should have smashed him out of there inside of 6 rounds. Had him going and let him off the hook.
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
120-107 Wlad
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
Garbage. Yet another shocking advert for the sport. R.O.B.O.T.S. Why don't the 9 stone Mexicans who can actually box and fight get the big bucks?
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
What was wrong with the opening I didn't see it?

Shame on Maloney for his comments about the Klitschko's. Apparently they are as cold as ice, not having 10 bells for Manny and saying all they wouldve cared about was the 10% fee. Very disappointing.
Price will be ready in 2/3 fights for Klitschko. Maybe but then Bunce brought up Wach beat Price a few years back and Maloney said he would be a good fighter for Price!!! Seconds after saying he was a punchbag!!!
Madness!

Yes but the point he may have been trying to make (I didnt see the comments) is that a Klitschko punchbag is a decent fight for Price after Skelton to get a better World ranking. If he did (obviously Wach wouldn't take that kinda fight straight off a World title fight loss of that nature) beat Wach after Skelton he could justify a World title fight by saying he beat the guy Klitschko last fought.ThereByTheGrace wrote:Shame on Maloney for his comments about the Klitschko's. For a Vlad fight I didn't think it was too bad. He worked a lot harder than he needed to from start to finish which is rare. It was more interesting seeing another big guy in there for a change even if Wach couldn't really set anything up.
I'd give Price a fair chance of clattering that chin, although I doubt he could absorb 1/5 of what Wach managed to somehow.

Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
is it just me or does ian darke not have a clue on whats going on in fight? he really annoys me big time with sayings like "welcome to the big time". no credit to the pole for taking wlad's best shots and still standing in front of him, haye couldnt do what he did yet they all hang of haye's testicles

Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
Nonsense, he gave Wach credit several times for his durability.
His statement 'Wach is trying everything he knows, he just doesn't know that much,' perfectly summed up the situation.
Wach simply had no business being in the ring with Wlad - his best win was over an ancient Kevin McBride.
I really do think that Price would give a far better account of himself, even at this stage of his career, than Wach did last night. I think he would lose but he would have a chance of landing a bomb and taking Wlad out.
I know Maloney is reticent of exposing Price to Wlad before he is ready, but I think it is worth a punt.

I think it would be a good fight for Price. If Price can do a number on Wach, which I believe he would, then it makes a very good case for a fight with Wlad.jameswilson wrote:Yes but the point he may have been trying to make (I didnt see the comments) is that a Klitschko punchbag is a decent fight for Price after Skelton to get a better World ranking. Not sure what the Klitschko brothers can do really, people attack their opponents yet there isn't anyone suitable to throw in with them, yeah Price and Fury will fight them but in their own time otherwise they're going to put up the same kind of effort Wach did. Biggest thing that makes me laugh is that Haye was the fighter least hit by Wlad yet he was the most ridiculed for his fight with him, yeah he was expected to do better but this guy is a machine who adopts a style that makes it nearly impossible to get into fight.
Fury and Price can easily fast track themselves into the Klitschko fights but both will lose their respective unbeaten records as neither have enough experience at the highest level.

Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
Haye didn't get hit because he basically didn't even try and engage Wlad after the first portion of round 1.
The only way to beat Wlad is to swarm him - trying to fight him at range is pointless as he is extremely effective. Until another big man with an very good jab and long reach comes along, the only way someone will beat him is to pressure him consistently and get inside the jab.
Price could be that man, my only concern is that he may not have the speed of hand or footwork to get his own jab off first. He certainly has the power to hurt Wlad though.

The Klitschkos are the top of the shit pile. They are decent men. I like them. But they are the best of a very bad bunch. I do think price could possibly do the business but his chin might let him down plus he's robotic, too. Oh for a Riddick Bowe clone rather than a Klitschko clone.Rockys gum shield wrote:Not sure what the Klitschko brothers can do really, people attack their opponents yet there isn't anyone suitable to throw in with them...
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
Im not so sure about this, i thought the same but against harisson he did something i havent seen him do before and actually become explosive - when he hurt harrison he immediately dived on him and unleashed a barrage of shots with real venom; he's been in interviews saying he has been working on being more spiteful. Seems to be working.JLP wrote:The Klitschkos are the top of the shit pile. They are decent men. I like them. But they are the best of a very bad bunch. 2 or 3 fights time i cant see there being any reason for him not to face a title holder and then wlad.

I really really think Price should take a fight with Wlad if he is offered. The thing that gives Price a massive chance in my opinion is that Wlad is terrified of getting hit and will go into his shell if he gets a taste of David's power. That makes it less likely Price's questionable chin is clocked with a big one.jamesmcdonnell wrote:Haye didn't get hit because he basically didn't even try and engage Wlad after the first portion of round 1.

I honestly think Price would beat Wlad if he was given the chance. Price would be the first guy firing scary shots with bad intentions that Wlad has faced since Corrie Sanders. (and think of what he went through vs the less than scary Sam Peter since).
Separately, anyone think Haye would have stopped Wach last night? That slow sack of shit was just asking to be landed on at will by fast combos. Haye would have clocked him with so many clean shots he would have gone down at some point, and Wach was so painfully slow he surely wouldn't have caught Haye with anything.
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
Haye should just fight wach do a number on him; then there is a pretty big argument to be given a rematch with wlad through sheer lack of other opponents. Haye would have then destroyed two klit opponents which took them the distance in the fight before.Riddick Blowe wrote:I really really think Price should take a fight with Wlad if he is offered. I think it unlikely that haye would use the same tactics against wlad in a rematch.
Re: Wladamir Klitschko v Marius Wach on ESPN
Very boring fight last night, I managed to just about get through it, but deary me that was dull.
