This weight class seems to get over looked. It was started in the early 1960's, so it has been around a while. Here are my top 10 Jr Middleweights of all-time. I only included fighters who won atleast 5 fights at this weight class, which disqualifies guys like Benvenuti,Leonard, Duran, Benitez, Trinidad, and De La Hoya.

3. Winky Wright
4. Julian Jackson
5. Terry Norris
6. Fernando Vargas
7. Julio Cesaer Vasquez
8. Koichi Wajima
9. John Mugabi
10. Sandro Mazzinghi
Honrable Mention - Ralph Dupas, Laurent Boudouiani,Javier Castillejo, Kim Ki-Soo, Ayub Kalue,Giafranco Rosi, Lupe Aquino, Freddie Little.
This was probably Hearns' weight class. He crushed Duran and decisioned Benitez at this weight.
I'm sure that I'm missing someone. What do you guys think?

He was very good I think. A boxer puncher, not wanting to take anything away from him, but I think Benitez caught Hope a bit on the wane as he'd already had surgery for a detached retina before the Benitez fight.dnahar32 wrote:I'm curious about Maurice Hope. I made a mistake with Benitez and Duran. they both had enough fights at Jr Middleweight. I would put Benitiez at around #4; he beat Duran as well as Hope and Santos,and gave Hearns a competitive fight.Ambling Alp wrote:This weight class seems to get over looked. Duran was very inconsistent after he moved up past welterweight. He did whip Moore and Cuevas, but lost to Benitez and was crushed by Hearns. He also had the embarrasing loss to Kirkland Laing. He probably does deserve to be in at #9 or #10.
