Price v Wach

Post by rhino222 »

Surely this fight has to happen now, Frank Maloney was very critical of Wladimirs performance last night (saying he should have upped the tempo and 'closed the show'.. but personally i dont think wlad could have done anymore, wach was one tough SOB) and said that Price could beat any heavy in the world right now.........

So come on Frank, dippeth ones hands in thine pockets and get Wach over to Liverpool to face price, i think it would be great matchmaking and would give us a 'depth gauge' as to how good and powerful Price is, as Wach can take a Wack! and will not fall over.

And what will happen if Wach wacks Price and makes him pay the price?

Not watched last night but Price needs a fight against someone who will last a lot of rounds Wach seems to fit the bill. If Price is as good as everyone thinks he is he should beat Skelton in 6 rnds.Pulev KO'd Skelton in 4rnds in 2010 in only his 5th pro fight.

Next year Price should be fighting European level fighters or guys who have been in with the K Bros

Wach beat Price very handily the amateurs, is the same size as Price and has a rock solid chin.

There is no way Maloney puts Price in with him.

He must step up eventually. Wach is limited enough to be a good opponent in 2 or 3 fights time I think. However based on previous if Wach did best him in the ams i'd be doubtful like you say.

Yep he did - Bunce and Maloney were talking about it last night.

Frank said last night that Price could beat anyone in the world now.......so why wait 2 or 3 fights to fight someone who is a 'gatekeeper'????

Bit of a revenge motive to it too, Wach beat him on points in the amateurs, 2004. Good opponent I think.

I'd fancy Price to beat Wach but I do agree that it would be a good test and a great barometer of Price's power at world level as Wlad caught Wach with a lot of big shots last night and couldn't put him down or stop him so if Price could that would make a huge statement. Wach can obviously whack (pardon the pun!) as well as he had Wlad in trouble momentarily with that shot he caught him with in the 4th/5th.

I'd like to see Price in with Helenius then Chisora. I think he would struggle with a fit and on his game Chis.
