Boxing Illustrated's (very) detailed account of Douglas' record has this fight as a 5th round TKO on cuts, it's a third round KO at Boxrec.
It also has Anthony Fletcher's fight with Ricardo Nunez, 1983-09-28, as a 7th round, and not a 1st round, KO.
Douglas v. Muhaymin
The most acurate results of the time was Flash Gordon's Tonight's Boxing Program (#409 page 2)who reported Tommy Stevenson (Later renamed Muhaymin) stopped with cuts over both eyes at 2:56 of the 5th rd.
Dec. 81 Ring magazine on page 56 also said it was a 5th round TKO.
They called it an upset!
Then their 82 Ring Record book came out with the KO 3. :(
I will take Flash Gordon's reports over Ring any day.
