I think calling himself the best American Heavyweight is even more outragous than the fact he called Fury the best in the UK

He can use his mouth as much as Fury can , Maybe that will end up more interesting than the fight itself .

It's a decent test and I know he's a decent little fighter, but I find it impossible to get excited about Kevin Johnson

Kevin Johnson puts even David Haye to shame when it comes to talking a good fight and not even trying to deliver

Has no power whatsoever, like nearly all of Fury's opponents.

Be good banter in the build up to the fight but once the bell rings it is all down hill.

Johnson could frustrate the hell out of Fury (and the fans), he did a good job of doing that vs Klitschko.

He does have a very good jab, so will be a decent enough test for Fury. Tyson will win easily with his work rate though.

I would like to see IJL involved in this fight so it can be stopped as soon as Johnson starts covering up on the ropes, saving everyone from the tediousness of the rest of the fight.

I'm pleased with this fight. Johnson has an excellent jab and good skills. This is a tough test for Fury, much better than I was expecting at short notice.

Not a bad test for Fury, although it could be a very boring fight if Johnson just covers up and throws out the odd jab. He looked pish in Prizefighter against Hammer.

This is an okay opponent at late notice.

I'd have preferred Sosnowski or Toney though.

Outside of his Vitali title fight and his 3 Prizefighter fights I have seen nothing of Kingpin.

What was his signature win to earn his rep?

From Prizefighter it looks like Fury will hugely outwork him and score a comfortable points win if not a TKO stoppage depending on the ref if Johnson doesn't throw anything back for a minute or so ...

Decent test and I feel quite smug having suggested Johnson as a possible opponent, along with a couple others, when Boytsov pulled out.

This is an interesting one, Johnson was so lazy and lethargic in Prizefighter, if he repeats those performances he could turn this into a stinker.

I don't think we'll see a stoppage, a fairly comfortable points win for Tyson I reckon.

I had a letter printed about Johnson in Boxing News after his feeble attempt at Vitali. It was a totally tedious 'fight' and I hope Fury gets him out the way quick!

Why? Sosnowski's absolutely dreadful and Toney shouldn't be allowed to fight.

Not that outrageous given the lack not quality on the US heavyweight scene right now.

Kingpin should never have taken part in prizefighter, not made for his style at all. Has a nice jab and frustrated Vitali when they fought. It's a good test and a step up for Tyson. Could well be the best opponent he has faced.

Johnson has lost a few but hes fought for a world title and gone the distance with Vitali Klitschko leaving Vitalis face in a bit marked up mess ,But at this stage in Furys career surly this is very credible short notice opponent for him? i think so.
I think all the Price fans need to take a close look whom their guy is fighting next

I dont think i was asking in the first instance. From his record, which i dont for one minute pretend to be familiar with, youd go with maybe seldon, or maybe lepai which was curiously for the australasian title.
