I think he's bound to.
I am sure we have heard the word "rematch" after an official's mistake before with Enzo.

Remember the Jamie Cox-Obodai Sai Commonwealth title fight when Cox should have been disqualified?

What happened there? There were lots of letters of outrage sent to the Commonwealth Council...

As far as I'm aware, Sai wasn't offered a rematch and should have been...

In this case I'm sure it will happen... (The power of promoters, etc.)

But I would love to hear the Commonwealth Council's explanation if Enzo gets the rematch when Sai didn't...

I thought the CBC did order a rematch between Cox and Sai? I know it never happened, mind...

I like Enzo a lot. And he was classy in the post fight interview, as is his way, but he didn't give McPhilbin a rematch. And if McKenzie had been on the receiving end of the premature stoppage I wonder if a rematch would have happened then.

If there is a rematch then IJL should get the gig.

Orvile and Enzo can kick his ass!

Enzo needs to retire otherwise his brains will be scrambled eggs soon...the shell has already been cracked.

Mckenzie by KO which is what IJL saved Enzo from in the first fight :DDD he's a shit ref generally but I can totally understand why he got a bit scared when Enzo took a few shots as we all know his chin is softer then a wet tissue and so jumped in prematurely.

I do sympathise with IJL a little bit hoever the board passed Enzo fit to fight, the stoppage was a disgrace. Enzo was actually very impressive, Lockett has seemingly got him playing to a plan.

How was Enzo impressive? he looked panicked everytime Orvil landed even a half punch on him, after watching the fight again I am sure that the premature stoppage only delayed the inevitable. Anyone who thinks Enzo would have come on stronger as the fight went on hasnt watched many of his fights, especially his recent ones... enzo has never actually been known for his stamina or outlasting tough opponents. Imo Orvil would have just worn down Enzo and got a ko win/stoppage round about the 5th-7th rounds... IJL did Enzo a favour.

Enzo never looked paniked he looked in control of himself and landing some impressive counters/combos

McKenzie would've worn himself down eventually

You make a very valid point but it's not just this fight. He makes so many errors (Hopkins CLEARLY floored Pascal TWICE, repeatedly poor scoring etc)

I thought Enzo was doing exactly the right thing. He knows his chin is dodgy, and he knows that Ovill could knock out a bull elephant in the first two rounds. Any tactic other than "on your bike, stick out the jab" would have been crazy. He knew where he was, and I suspect he would have weathered the storm; McKenzie is no Sugar Ray when it comes to clean finishing. There was a good chance he'd get taken clean out by a shot any time in the first 4 rounds, but that isn't what happened, and we'll never know what would have.

Enzo-McPhilbin was in March. He was banned in July. There wasn't a peep about him fancying a rematch in that three month interim period.

If the board passed Enzo fit to box then the referee shouldn't judge on anything other than events that are happening in the ring. IJL evidently played the role of judge & jury in regards to Enzo's health, that wasn't his responsibility.

His mistake was undoubtedly based on the best of intentions, however, if fucked it up massively.

Enzo failed his post fight test sample. It was an issue behind closed doors well before July, it only came out in the public domain once UK Anti-Doping had finished their investigation and subsequently the board's decision in regards to a punishment, which evidently concluded in July.

There was fornicate possibility of a rematch, how can you fight when under investigation for possible doping offences? Think about it logically for a second, he was banned for 6 months, so if that ban only ran from July he'd still be banned.

Stop trying to make out Enzo was somehow hostile to the suggestion of a rematch.
