Remember Ricardo Mayorga putting a cigar in his mouth straight after his fights, dident light it at the time but believe he did soon after !
Anyone else ?
And would the odd one or two socially make a difference if you cut it out for training camp ?

eamon magee used to smoke. read a allegedly article where he claimed nigel benn used to have a crafty fag out of training. it wouldnt suprise me if a few did. its kind of like one of those things they dare not admit too. a bit like not putting everything into roadwork. Im sure there are boxers that prefer other methods of training to get their wind but they dont like admitting it cos its 1 of boxings ten commandments.

I'm fairly certain he doesn't smoke anymore but i'm sure i remember reading that Carl Froch smoked fairly late into his career.

Zaragoza deffo was a chuffer. As was Carlos Monzon, I believe.

& yes, Johnny Bredhal definitely smoked as well...
