It would be a shame if it's not for the British title, although I'd rather see it going ahead whether with a title or not. Mirovic was meant to be fighting for the Commonwealth belt. I suppose he could be asked to kindly move aside?
Would I be entering the choppy waters of possible litigation if I were to suggest that Williams' appeal may just be successful if this fight is back on?

I hope the fight does go on but I wont hold my breath! I built my self up for the last fight and that didn't happen.
Interesting reading about Williams apparently having weights in his tracksuit at the weigh in to make Skelton think he was heavier than he actually was! Isn't that cheating and surely against the rules?!

I think that was a double bluff to be honest as he was in such bad shape. That's probably why he chickened out at the last minute.numpty wrote:I hope the fight does go on but I wont hold my breath! I built my self up for the last fight and that didn't happen.

He was 19 stone 4 for the Klitschko fight, then weighed in 20 stone 3 for Skelton. His weight is definitely going in the wrong direction and has been for some time.numpty wrote:Did think that. Williams is going to have his last fight in December I have a feeling. He was 20 odd stone when Vitali knocked him from pillar to post. He looked so easy to hit and so slow and sluggish. He needs to be in far better shape than that fight.

How the hell did he put on a stone in less than a month? Even with eating loads it's hard he was 18 12 for the Hatton undercard.nickd wrote:He was 19 stone 4 for the Klitschko fight, then weighed in 20 stone 3 for Skelton. Williams in shape beats Skelton.
I still think Skelton beats Williams, even though Skelton may be 40 odd or what ever age he is, he 's alot fresher than Williams IMO (remember Williams has had some beatings) where as Skelton is still developing, i think Danny has got to the level he will be at and cannot improve on that where as Skelton is still learning and can better himself still, hope you can see what i trying to get at.
Its great news that the fight is back on, lets hope the BBBC use some common sense and allow this fight to be for the British title, else they'll just be 'biting their nose off to spite their face', but the main thing is that the fight is scheduled again.
I was amazed when Skelton beat Sprott and I'll be even more amazed if Danny doesn't beat him. Danny wins by KO IMO

Skelton's terrible, even Krence was outboxing him. Krence just lacked power to do much but he was hitting him quite easy.Foggy wrote:I still think Skelton beats Williams, even though Skelton may be 40 odd or what ever age he is, he 's alot fresher than Williams IMO (remember Williams has had some beatings) where as Skelton is still developing, i think Danny has got to the level he will be at and cannot improve on that where as Skelton is still learning and can better himself still, hope you can see what i trying to get at.
Wonder if he's take Williams shots like that? He hits well harder than Krence.
Nothing about Williams is world class, what has Williams done to prove he is a world class puncher?stujones wrote:Delighted, Williams - for all his rightful criticisms is a WORLD CLASS (with the crop of heavyweights) puncher. If Skelton can take Williams' shots he has the stamina and determination to be a player.

And that makes him a world class puncher? Bollocks, Meehan is shite and he caught him cold it can happen. I fail to see how he's a world class puncher myself, who has he KO'd who's truly world class. Let's not mention Tyson as he was shot to shit and could have continued he wasn't exactly hurt he just didn't want to continue.Max Molyneux wrote:KO Kali Meehan better than Rahman and Brewster.

Er...Knocked out MIke Tyson!
Read the whole thread I already commented on Tyson.boxingchat wrote:nickd wrote:Nothing about Williams is world class, what has Williams done to prove he is a world class puncher?stujones wrote:Delighted, Williams - for all his rightful criticisms is a WORLD CLASS (with the crop of heavyweights) puncher. So McBride is world class now as he has a TKO over Tyson?Let's not mention Tyson as he was shot to shit and could have continued he wasn't exactly hurt he just didn't want to continue.
Butterbean could probably beat Tyson now.
