Ronnie Clark v Ryan Walsh Video

Post by JamieM »

Hi Guys

I know alot of people said they wanted to see this fight and this is full fight and quite good copy. In my opinion Ronnie won this fight in which in truth was very close with both fighters having 2 really strong rounds with Clark in 2 and 7 and walsh in 8 and 9 , Hope that alot of the more expierienced posters will have a look and look forward to hearing honest opinions:)

First time I have seen it from being down at the fight I had Ronnie by 2 or maybe 3 rounds. In Fairness the only rounds he lost there are 8 and 9 and there not as bad as I thought they were with 8 being close. In my opinion Ronnie won the first 5 rounds. 6 ain't on there so lets give that to Walsh... 7 was Ronnie.. 8 and 9 to Walsh and 10 to Ronnie. I would have scored that 97-93 to Ronnie on that footage.

Was a great fight I'm sure everyone will agree I hope we would see a rematch.

I thought Walsh won that by a few rounds at least. There was a round missing from the footage. Clarks body language at the end of the fight certainly didn't suggest he thought he had won.

IJL has just told me he scored this a technical draw by tco in round 16 with Conquest in no position to continue so Robin Deakin is the new straw weight champion of Asia.

That's what Ronnie does after every fight. I'm sure everyone will have different opinions and that's what make boxing interesting at times interpretation of fights is always different. Thanks mate

Judge the fight no body action, ronnie never feels the need to jump around the ring as the fight should be judged on performance not reaction.

Ronnie defintly won 2,7 and 10, walsh definetly won 8 and 9, rest were tight but I felt Ronnie done the cleaner work in round 3 also and walsh didnt start till after 5. thats my opinion. I had Ronnie taking atleast a draw. look forward to your friends result:)

Boxing is all about opinions!!! He was a good kid I totally agree! On basis though its my worst performance to date! I rocked him most times I hit him! I showed massive inexperience with my bizarre swinging rather than my usual composure :( I prepared for that fight with 5 days sparring and 2 days on the pads! I was far too strong for him and they knew it! When I do eventually get a little backing and can prepare properly for fights u will see a much better fight!

P.S Why would such a high class ref like Mark Green rob the guy in his home town?! If the Walsh camp were so sure he won they would have accepted the rematch on the 8th December instead of making up the excuse that his brother is fighting the week after lmao... It's the week after for crying out loud :p

hard to say who won....tha video wasnt the best quality(bum cleavage of the photographer in the foreground wasnt my cup of tea) ..but it was a good evenly matched fight. walsh looked slightly stiff and predictable ,but fit and strong .clark looked looser fluid , more natural.
should rematch them both, give them both 8 weeks to get properly prepared, have it on the undercard of a bigger fight at a neutral venue. i would watch them again. wouldnt like to bet on the outcome tho'.....

The official reporter from boxrec news has just posted this piece underneath the original piece on the website.

Postscript: After careful consideration this writer, after reviewing the fight several times on YouTube, has come to the conclusion Ronnie Clark won the fight by two rounds. Watching the fight unfold from ringside, it was all too easy to get swayed by a very vocal home crowd for Walsh. I guess it is only human nature to get swayed by a partisan crowd. I feel I have been unfair on Clark by saying he lost the fight by three rounds. It wasn’t an easy fight to score but on reflection the referee, Mark Green, didn’t give him the decision he deserved.

I read this report a couple of days ago. It's pretty biased local journalism.

The walsh camp got very upset after the result, will be a rematch.

They are jokers. They said that Ronnie celebrated the draw like a win, Even though the video shows that never happened. His fans are disgusting animals and some of the stuff that was done at the fight and said on Ronnies page after it makes me cringe. Glad the boy has bottled the rematch as being honest I hope I never come across them again:) Walsh brothers are great fighters but I hope they arnt dragged down by their fans antics:)

That article isn't a shock. They are used to getting it all there own way. Ronnie gate crashed the party the only true thing said in that report is 9stone 4 is too much for Ryan.. It's funny how the natural Superfeather in Michael Walsh hasn't asked to fight Ronnie. Ryan is technically the best of the 3 of them and he will go on to big things but as Jamie has said the fans really let those guys down going on about how their English Lords raped our women. There's banter and there is going too far.. Anyway onwards and upwards I'm sure after that We will see Ronnie mixing it with the top guys in the uk in the next year.. 2013 the year of the Shark ;)

Have to disagree with you there David I think Liam Walsh is by far the better technically of the brothers. I also think that Michael fights at the lowest of the 3 generally around Super Bantam.

Liam is better at this stage.. Is very open when he fights as Paul Appleby showed when he should have stopped him.. Ryan was very neat and compact tried to box. I've watched all those guys fight obviously Ryan is smaller so hard to compare. Michael Walsh is International Masters Superfeather weight champ... My mistake was meant to be fighting to that I meant lol

Jamie ,no offence but have you been around boxing long ? his fans are well know to be pretty bad, sure they go by the name "Farmy Army" ,not meaning to come across a twat ... im surprised you wernt warned about them before ... hostile fans can do there bit to win a fight if they get to the away fighter ... im sure the experience will benefit your mate in the long run

We have been around a lot of hostile atmospheres it doesn't really affect us.. We always give as good as we get. I think the point Jamie is making is the disgusting stuff they are coming away with. It's a hostile atmosphere when any fighter is fighting Ronnie up here but we are respectful before and after a fight. I know what your saying though I expected the " Farmy Army" to be louder you can hear 6 or 7 of us singing and we are miles away from that camera haha

Alba- I have always watched boxing but can say I only started going to the smaller hall shows to follow Ronnie if im honest. I heard they were hostile but attempting to get at the away fighter on the way out the ring is a step to far and and acts of cowards:)
